3. Changes in next design
I understood that fear was not a good trigger for my target audience so I turned the title
into a question. I also made the following changes:
• Soften the background color.
• Moved the man-shape design to the left.
• Listed a differenced “you want/you do not want” left-aligned textbox without edges
and matched the colors with the design.
• Created customized bullets (positive and negative).
• Added a „post-it‟ picture containing further/contact information, also left-aligned.
5. Changes in next design
The man-shaped design was not „cool‟ for my audience, therefore I used for future
designs a black & white picture of a teenager girl to be easily identified as an equal by
the audience. The idea of „giving a thought‟ to ECON 101 was materialized in a cloud
callout with a question. I also made the following changes:
• Created a colored repetition element „ECON 101?‟.
• Tripled the font size in the title and changed the typeface style.
• Move the text into boxes with a wide shape outline.
• Use opposite backgrounds and typeface colors for the two textboxes.
• Got rid of customized bullets.
• Changed the „post-it‟ picture for a black textbox the further/contact information.
7. Changes in next design (final)
In my last design I got rid of more elements and kept in mind the idea of simplicity. I
wanted to be part in the process of encouraging them to enroll in ECON 101, so I
reconverted my design in a poster of an informative meeting. Here are the changes:
• Reduced the title to „ECON 101?‟ in a rotated colored textbox.
• Created a vertical dark-blue background textbox to place the information.
• Pointed out with a subtitle that ECON 101 is a class for smart consumers.
• Used two typefaces with heavy contrast and matched colors (repetition effect).
• Grouped the text according to proximity.
• Left only the website for further information (my email can be found there).
