COLOURS I HAVE USED ARE SLIGHTLY MORE ATTRACTIVE TO THE FEMALE
AUDIENCE BECAUSE THEY ARE MOSTLY ASSOCIATED WITH GIRLS. HOWEVER, I
HAVE ALSO USED OTHER COLOURS SUCH AS DIFFERENT SHADES OF BLUE AND
A RED SO IT IS NOT BIASED AND MALES COULD ALSO READ TOO.

THE CONTENT I HAVE PLACED WITHIN THE MAGAZINE IS ALSO ATTRACTIVE TO
THE 8-13 YEAR OLDS. THERE IS GOSSIP SECTIONS, INTERVIEWS, CONTESTS,
PERSONALITY TESTS, FASHION ARTICLES AND LOTS MORE. THIS FITS IN WITH
THIS SOCIAL GROUP BECAUSE THEY ARE YOUNG AND LIKE TO KNOW
EVERYTHING ABOUT THEMSELVES AND CELEBRITIES, THEY ALSO WANT TO LOOK
COOL AND SO THE FASHION SECTION IS USEFUL TO THEM AND TO THEIR
PARENTS FOR IDEAS FOR PRESENTS.
4. MODE OF ADDRESS
ALSO I ADDRESSED MY TARGET AUDIENCE INFORMALLY DUE TO THEIR AGE. WHEN READING A

IT IS THE FIRST THING THEY SEE. THE BRIGHT COLOURS AND CRAMPED PAGE
ENSURES THEM THAT THERE IS LOTS OF CONTENT THEY WILL WANT TO READ
INSIDE THIS MAGAZINE. THE FACT THAT THE IMAGE OF THE BAND AS THE COVER
STAR ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE THE INTERVIEW INSIDE THE MAGAZINE AND THE
MAIN SELL LINE WILL ATTRACT THE TARGET AUDIENCE AS THEY ARE A POPULAR
BAND WITH LOTS OF FANS. THERE IS LOTS OF THINGS THE TARGET AUDIENCE
DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT THEM AND THEIR RECENT SPLIT AND SO THEY WILL WANT
TO FIND OUT BY READING INSIDE THE MAGAZINE. THIS EFFECT IS ALSO GIVEN

TARGET AUDIENCE AS IT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS THEIR FRIENDS WANTING TO TELL
THEM A SECRET OR INVITE THEM INSIDE THE MAGAZINE. THIS IS USED TO TRY
AND CREATE A BOND BETWEEN THE TARGET AUDIENCE AND THE MAGAZINE.
THIS ALSO APPLIES FOR THE IMAGE USED, THE POSE INCLUDES A FRIENDLY
POSITION AND INCLUDES SMILES FROM ALL OF THE ARTISTS ON THE PAGE, THE
INDICATES TO THE AUDIENCE THAT WE ARE HAPPY TO SEE THEM AND ARE
ENCOURAGING THEM TO BUY THE MAGAZINE.
8. FONTTHE FONT USED IS A SIMPLE YET ATTRACTIVE ONE TO THE TARGET AUDIENCES.

GENRE AND USED MORE THAN ONE FONT, THIS IS TO TRY AND STAND OUT AND
ATTRACT MORE PEOPLE. THE MAIN SELL LINE IS BOLD WHICH IS COMMONLY
SEEN IN PROFESSIONAL MAGAZINES USED TO STAND OUT.
9. LAYOUTTHE LAYOUT OF THE PAGE IS ALSO CRAMPED AND COLOURFUL FOR THIS
REASON. ON THE FRONT COVER, I WAS ALSO PROMOTING THE POSTERS THAT
ARE INSIDE THE MAGAZINE, THIS IS ANOTHER CONVENTION OF THE POP GENRE
AS THE TARGET AUDIENCE WANTS TO PUT UP POSTERS OF HER FAVOURITE
ARTISTS INSIDE HER ROOM.
