How Company Life Cycle Stage Impacts Stock Price For
Technology Companies In Dynamic Market Transition
Life Cycle Stage (stagnant, growth, matured) determines the
relationship between sales and stock price. This study postulates
a “Pivot stage” where a mature company behaves in an entirely
new way – marketing and investing like a growth company,
despite a classification as mature in life span. This behavioral
modifying scenario impacts stock price estimations. The case
study is Logitech, a global PC peripheral manufacturer that
shifted market focus from PC peripherals to music, tablet and
gaming industries to build a more sustainable platform for future
growth.
