1. Magic gang
The magic gang is an English indie/pop band that originated in Brighton when they
released a single in 2015 called ‘no fun’ putting them on the records alongside being
tour supporters for; wolf Alice and swim deep, which helped gained them a
reputation as one of the country’s most incendiary new bands. Their target audience
is teens, young adults and any new expiring bands.
The band consists of 4 members:
Jack Kaye - vocals/guitar- 23 years
Kristian Smith- vocals/ guitar – 24years
Angus Taylor –bass- 22 years
and Paeris Giles –drums – 22 years
The magic gang have a unique, casual style that many would say looks scruffy and
rushed, others would say it has an indie or a skater look to it. This meaning they
dress in baggy, oversized tops, shirts and sweaters that hang of them with loose low-
cut trousers (jeans or skater dickies). In this picture they are shown to have long
locks of hair styled in the form of curtains, but things have slightly changed as now
they are seen with little amounts of hair some may say bald, this proves their style
and look changes frequently, so they don’t have a specific look to associate them
with.
The magic gang have had the chance to work with three
amazing record labels (Telharmonium, yala records and
warner bros records) how have helped them get to the
place they are now with an album (‘the magic gang’)
staying in the UK’s top 40 for weeks. The boys meet at 6th
form, and online as they
are all from Dorset area and kept in contact over skype where they practised their
songs and wrote new ones. This led to hem doing gigs around the south of England
resulting in them getting scouted and beginning their career in the music industry.
