5. Flexisign Cutting
•Load the correct colours into the machine and line
them up
•Make sure the vinyl is straight or it will not cut it
all
•The cutting machine automatically transfers sizes
to the computer
5
6. Weeding the Vinyl
•I have to weed each letter
from the vinyl
•I use a Stanley knife and
tweezers
•Remove excess vinyl
•Pick all the insides out of
the letters
•Remove mistakes and cuts
as they will show up on the
van when you apply them
6
7. Design set up
•Masking tape covers all
the vinyl
•This helps the transfer
process
•Use the squeegee to do
this
•It stops unwanted
bubbles and creases
7
8. Applying the Signage
•Check the van is not wet or
dirty
•Each sign is measured so
that it’s straight and central
•When applying remove the
backing paper
•Work from top to bottom to
avoid creases and bubbles
8
9. Finishing Touches
•When a bubble appears
you need to pierce with
a Stanley knife
• Push the air out with
you thumb
•Remove the masking
tape from the top of the
vinyl
•Pat your self on the
back for a job well done
