This document outlines the method statement for painting works which includes obtaining color scheme and paint manufacturer approval before starting work. It also details protecting fittings and surfaces, ensuring substrates are dry and cleaned before applying coating, thoroughly mixing and applying paint in a way that avoids imperfections, and priming surfaces as required. The workscope applies to all building works and specifies approved paint brands and storage as well as brushes and rollers as tools.

Works Methodology:-
1. Color scheme and paint manufacture approval shall be obtained before works is
commenced
2. Protect appropriate fittings and other surface. Do not stand on finished works, fixtures
of fitting to gain access.
3. Before applying coating, ensure moisture content of substrate will not adversely affect
the completed works. As per manufactures requirement all specification.
4. Check for surface irregularities, ensure surface to be painted are cleaned, remove
mortar and plaster splashes and avoid excessive wetting.
5. Keep all brushes n clean and serviceable condition and thoroughly clean out brushes
and equipment before applying different materials of different colors
6. Mix paint well by stirring evenly giving a continuous film, free form runs, brush marks
and other imperfections
7. If primer is required, works primer well into surface, joints and angles and on timber
into end grain.
