He was born the 28 October 1902 in Hillfield Road, Hampstead (London).
In 1910 he started his studies in the school of Heath Mount
In 1917 he started in the Lancing college of Sussex
In 1930 he converted to Catholicism
He died the 10 April 1966 in Combe Florey (Somerset)
4. TRAVELS
He did ten different travels around the
world
In 1939 he got in the armed forces
because of the second world war and
in 1944 they sent him to Yugoslavia.
But a year after that he returned to
London and his normal life.
He travelled four times to Africa (in
1930,1933,1935 and 1958), two to
America (in 1947) and took a cruise by
the Mediterranean in 1929.
5. Marriages and children
He got married two times.
The first time was in 1928 with Evelyn
Gardener but they divorced two years
later.
The second time was in 1937 with Laura
Herbert. With her he had a son (in 1950,
he was called Septimus) and three
daughters (in 1937 she was called Teresa,
in 1940 and in 1944 that was called
Harriet) but one died the same year of her
birth (in 1940).

Decline and Fall (1928) that’s a satire.
A Handful of Dust (1934) that’s another satire.
Brideshead Revisited (1945) that’s a novel.
The Second World War trilogy Sword of Honour (1952–61).
