Job Responsibilities:-
1. Providing advice to the site construction team on health, safety and environmental issues.
2. Monitoring statutory compliance by carrying out regular inspections and auditing the site
construction works.
3. Undertake at least a weekly inspection and prepare a report for submittal to the Project
Manager.
4. Report immediately to the Project Manager about any serious safety breaches that place
workers in life threatening situations.
5. Assist the project management in undertaking risk assessments and identifying safe
systems of work to be recorded in safe work method statement.
6. Develop and deliver in house training courses on health, safety and environmental topics.
7. Co-ordination for the third party inspection and certification of equipment and operators.
8. Develop and deliver the worker induction ensuring that all workers receive an induction
prior to starting works.

3. 9. Develop procedures for high risk activities and brief management on their responsibilities
under these procedures. Audit against these procedures regularly and report any non-
compliance to the Project Manager.
10. Ensure that any accident will be reported using the approved procedure of the company
OHSAS and EMS standards.
11. Undertake the lead role in all accident investigations and ensure that a written
investigation report is provided to the Project Manager for all reportable accidents.
12. Overseeing and implementing the project HSE policy, Safety Management System and
Procedures as per ISO and BSI Standards in the process for reviewing contractor's safety
performance against applicable laws, regulations and client requirements, developing and
enforcing policies, procedures and programs.
13. Conducting daily site inspections as per risk assessments and methods of statements and
other site safety rules & regulations to ensure health, safety and environment for the
production business aim of the company.
14. Carry out the scheduled and random inspections of the plants, equipments, lifting
appliances, portable tower tools, electrical installations, scaffold inspections, permit,
working at heights and other special work permit and monitoring the work activities as to
the safe working method and procedures.
15. Identifying hazards, unsafe acts and conditions and recommending corrective measures
and controls, undertaking disciplinary actions against non compliance to health and safety
performance.
16. Inform the Project Manager or HSE Manager regarding the realistic improvement can be
made for the site working conditions, monitor and closure of any violations or
discrepancies from a consultant or client.
17. Conducting HSE Induction Training, tool box talks, emergency evacuation drills,
participating in house training and third party trainings and advising the requirement of
third party training to the Management.
18. Attending the HSE meetings, recording the Health & Safety performance, maintaining the
records/registers for the HSE Audits.
19. Ensuring the sub-contractors is adhering to all health and safety responsibilities.
