Science Fair
The software that we presented revolves around elementary science. It has
different activities well suited for children in the early grade school levels (grades 1-3).
The game itself can be well considered as edutainment software. It effectively
integrated learning and entertainment in its games and activities. The graphics look
dated since it was made more than a decade ago and some of the sounds are annoying
for my taste, but hey, it’s a kid’s game.
As for a localized version of the game, the activities within the game would, I
think, not need any more tweaking and only the visuals and the characters would have
to be changed. Like for example, the locations within the game will take place in a
Philippine setting and its characters may well be Filipino too. Oh, and maybe a bi-lingual
interface or maybe subtitles would be nice for children who don’t understand English
that much.
