2. One of AI’s biggest problems
Thanks to ChatGPT's early demo going viral, AI has become more and more
popular in recent years. Institutions such as Zayed University, however, are seeing
an increasing problem with students turning to AI too much for homework,
impeding their academic and social development.
3. How to deal with the AI problem
Zayed University students use AI technologies because they want to improve the quality of their writing, get higher
grades, and manage their workload.
Using AI has negative effects on their critical thinking and self-learning skills.
Reliance on AI can prevent students from growing into responsible citizens and interacting with other people, such as
peers and teachers.
Zayed University can deal with the problems of AI by going back to paper assignments and monitoring or locking
electronic devices.
5. Solution 2
Controlled electronic devices
How does this help?
Prevents students from cheating and allows the university to have an informed
approach and expectations about using AI.
6. Conclusion
The Ministry of Education and educational boards must monitor AI's use to foster knowledge and mature thinking in students,
so that they can grow into knowledgeable adults.
