• The Latin American ground handling market would eventually move towards de-regulation and
big players like Swissport, Menzies and dnata will exploit the market based on network
economies.
• Latin America to witness an increase in aviation activity in the form of modernization, expansion
and increase of air travel.

• Airlines like to find ‘ready to fly to‘ airports when they choose their new destination or
even their seasonal destination. Having a ground handler ready to ground handle them at
a given airport will incentivize them to fly there.
• Alliance airlines already make ‘ground handling’ activities for their partner airlines,
enabling (1) communalisation of staff-skills and tools , and (2) making alliance passenger
experience consistent.
• Regional airports will be ready to establish their own ground handling business to welcome
airlines, in case other ground handlers are not ready establish themselves in these given
airports.
Ground handling companies are key players of the supply chain
and are enablers of aviation growth
