Talking points:
Over the last couple of years, Generali has been building a solid innovation platform, made of the following components:
Innovation Fund: a €30M (per strategic cycle) that invest in the most solid internal innovation projects.
Training: Innovation is, after all, culture. Thus we invest heavily and constantly in keeping our employees up to date.
Tools: Innovation is made of many ecosystems: we keep track of them with a number of tools and partners that we deploy Group-wide.
CorpUp Studios: Innovation is never or rarely made in isolation: we believe in the power of partnership and co-creation, thus we have founded two CorpUp Studios in Switzerland (House of Insurtech Switzerland, dedicated to the whole DACH region and active in all LoBs) and France (Future4Care, a JV with Capgemini, Sanofi and Orange: dedicated to digital health and personalised medicine)
External VC Funds: A recently-launched VC initiative by which we plan to invest €250M by the end of 2024 in leading VC Funds. 3 investments have alrfeady been made.

Talking points:
The Innovation Fund is split into two: Early Stage and Acceleration
Early Stage is for every employee of the Group: every well-shaped idea will be considered for initial funding, to ensure that initial validation and testing can take place in any case.
Acceleration is for innovation projects that have already gone through the first stage/gates of innovation and show merits to become a promising new product/business model/venture for the Group.
The portfolio of the Innovation Fund is already large: more than 180 projects have been funded. There are many that would be worth mentioning, but today let me quickly talk about RiskCare, a SME risk prevention platform being developed by Generali France together with 2 startups; and DomLife, an online platform for caregivers developed Europe Assistance which is already up and running.
