Focus Group Analysis
I have put the first draft edit on a closed Facebook group via a link to
my YouTube channel. As well as this I have also included a link to my
survey, which I asked everyone to answer. I am going to analyse
these results and see if there are any trends, what my target
audience is and if there are any improvements that can be made.

Our firstquestionhad mixedanswerswith3people answeringwomenand5
people answeringboth.Thismaybe due to the feminine featuresinthe video
whichtherefore makesitmore relatable towomen. Withthe onlycharacterin
the videobeingawomenitmakesan instantconnectionwiththe female
audience. OverallIdothinkthe songcan be relatedtobothas there are no
clearcut indicationsthatitis more aimedatjust one gender.
I thinkthat ourvideoissuitedtoa youngeraudience,thiscouldbe due tothe
conventionsof R’N’Bmusicvideowe have followedto,althoughbyaddingour
owntwist.We have now establishedourtargetaudience.
Throughour questionnairewe have had100% positive feedbackthat
our blackand white scheme iseffective.Ifeel thatwe have achieved
and challengedthe conventional R’N’Bmusicvideobymakingit
more classicrather thanoversexualised.The blackandwhite theme
alsosuitsthe name of the track haunted.

givenfeedbackof “Gothic”genre whichlinkedinwiththe darkblack
and white mysteriousimagery.
Havingaskedcan the audience relate toourvideoinanyway, a
response was “yes,asthe main characteris a girl.”Thissupportsour
original planwhatfemaleswouldrelatetothe felinityalsothe
abstract imagery. Othershave said“nobut lovedit”whichshowsits
versatility.
Havingaskedthe questionwouldyourecommendourmusicvideo
to a friend,we received100% positive feedback.Thisindicatesthat
we have achievedaprofessionalsuccessful musicvideo.If Iwasto
create one again I wouldtake intoconsiderationthe skilfulediting
