The album “Teenage Dream” has the images thatrelate to this fantasy world.Katy Perry laid rude on the bed of candy gives the
stereotypical sex appeal contrasting with the child like world. We get the impression thatshe’s so happy,that she is living the “teenage
dream”.In the inside cover image the firstimpressions is thatitlooks very different to the front & back covers. It looks formal with the
dark colours and additionallyand portrays royalty with the way her hair has been styled and the crown and jewellerythat she is wearing.
This contrasts with the fun images thatI looked at before. However, when you look closer atthe picture you can see that the crown and
jewelleryis actually made up from sweets which again follow the theme from the front and back covers. This picture really conveys a
humorous side ofKaty Perry which is often seen in her personal life from the media,which I think enables the audience to relate with her
& her music. The narrative to this CD, is that she’s in her perfect world.With the front cover image being over photo shopped,itlooks
drawn on. On the other hand it looks perfectplastic which gives the impression thatin her world she’s happywith her appearance,and
that in our own fantasy world we would all be classed as “perfect“.
