This document defines the target audiences for a music artist's marketing. The typical male target listens to artists like George Ezra, Mumford and Sons, and James Blunt. He wears shirts with blazers or chinos and boots in an indie style. He enjoys live music festivals and would have a middle-class job. The typical female target listens to Jake Bugg, Hozier, and The Arctic Monkeys, preferring festivals but also relaxing at home. She wears denim jackets, black jeans and converse, breaking trends in a rock/indie pop style. She would also have a middle-class job in retail or reception.

1. Target Audience
This would be my typical target audience for
males. My target audience would listen to music
by artists/bands like George Ezra, Mumford and
Sons, James Bay and James Blunt. This is
because they are all more of the pop genre or
rock genre and the songs that Paolo Nutini does
are similar. Typical things that he would wear
are shirt and then blazers on top, with chinos or
maybe some smart jeans with Chelsea boots.
The things he would wear would be more indie
and more out there than the average person.
This would be shown by the blazer on top of a
t-shirt, not too many people try wearing that nowadays. He would most likely enjoy live music even
more than just recordings and try to find his favourite artists or bands at festivals each year. On the
ABC1 chart, he would be a middle-class citizen and have some sort of a job as a sales assistant in a
clothes shop.
This would be the typical target audience for
females. They would listen to music like Jake
Bugg, Hozier and The Arctic Monkeys. They
would prefer to go to the festivals for these artists,
but they also enjoy just relaxing and listening to
them on their own. They would wear things like
denims jackets and black jeans, with some
converse plimsolls. She would be trying to break
trends and be out of the box, and she does this
by listening to pop music, but more rock pop and
indie pop. On the ABC1 chart, she would be a
middle-class citizen and have a job working in
either retail or a low level receptionist.
