Why I can help companies who want to see the “bigger picture” when it comes to strengthening your
workforce core centralized around a more innovative approach that will drive it towards one centered
       on employee engagement, employee empowerment, inclusion, and equity initiatives?

     Instrumental in developing EEO position statements and incorporating them into the company’s
      policy, as well as incorporating diversity management plans and initiatives into the
      organizational structure. This implementation resulted in increasing the company’s value and
      compliance of Affirmative Action and EEOC practices into their hiring practices, etc., by 70%.
     Increased company’s knowledge and awareness of understanding veterans and other diverse
      populations as “protected classes”, based upon the company’s hiring needs, leave management,
      etc., by incorporating these initiatives into their organizational policies, etc., which resulted in
      increased awareness and knowledge of veterans in areas of leave entitlement as a result of
      deployment, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA),
      etc.
     Identified and developed initiatives and position statements to promote a union-free
      environment with companies, which resulted in successfully maintaining this type of
      environment, while promoting an “open-door” philosophy at each company by 100%.
     Well-versed in Employment Law mandates and statutes in EEOC, AA, diversity management,
      hiring practices, promoting a harassment-free workplace, ADA accommodations, and other
      areas, and develops policies in these areas to ensure overall compliance in these areas to reduce
      liability risks within the company.
     Identified recommendations in controlling key departmental costs, such as Product Performance
      Reports, etc., for departmental accounts, which resulted in significantly reducing advertising
      costs, administrative costs, etc., to fill open positions by 50%.
     Developed proposed solutions in key HR and departmental metrics, including HR to Employee
      Ratio and Corporate Staff to Employee Ratio spreadsheets, etc., which resulted in cost
      containment and cutting down on costs of staff hiring without rationalizing the need, etc., by
      60%.
     Participated in a project that involved gathering and compiling HR data to assist in the
      completion of the NorthCoast 99 application for entry, which resulted in the company being
      named a NorthCoast 99 award winner for the 11th straight year in 2012.
     Created Staff Training Plan Outline templates for the departments within the company, which
      resulted in streamlining training for each employee, based upon their goals and as outlined
      under each individualized and departmental bonus structures.
     Redesigned highly visible strategic PowerPoint presentations to present to the CEO and
      Executive Team during monthly strategy meetings, which resulted in identifiable key metrics and
      reportable data on the impact of increased rates in productivity, due to reduction in turnover
      and attrition rates and an increase in retention rates and employee engagement, otherwise not
      easily identified and captured.
     Demonstrated my leadership capability by frequently traveling to my company’s remote sites
      and locations to assist with the transition process, due to loss of key HR staff placed there,
      which resulted in assurance of full HR coverage at all times during the re-staffing process.

   Researched skill trainings for key positions within the company, including SQL, technical training,
    and various others, which resulted in identifying those crucial skills needed to ensure the
    employees’ success and increase retention within my company.
   Developed an auditing system for addressing unemployment insurance claim payouts, which
    resulted in being able to efficiently identify those that would require re-coupment and
    repayment to the company/employer via their UI account.
   Researched the company’s Workers’ Compensation Accidents and Incidents Reports logs to
    identify high incidences of reporting factors and data, which resulted in identifying more
    efficient, and adequate safety training, measures, and practices to help minimize these
    incidences and risks.
   Developed staff trainings via PowerPoint that focused on Employment Law mandates in the
    areas of Harassment Prevention, FMLA- Preventing Fraud and Abuse, and various others for
    managers, supervisors, and HR staff, which resulted in increasing awareness in these important
    areas to reduce risks and liability towards the company.
   Achieved assigned projects with a project team for the company’s Oracle System Upgrade from
    11i to R12 and completed an audit and analysis of benefit reportable data, which resulted in a
    savings of 300 plus man hours weekly for the company.
   Created various personnel process involving Employee Handbooks, Policy and Procedures
    Manuals, processes on handling workers’ compensation claims, employee/personnel data-
    tracking spreadsheets, and many others, which resulted in adding value by streamlining
    personnel functions and processes while developing a more structured process within the
    company.
   Achieved a 401K Open Enrollment process of 100 plus employees in a 4-day span and ahead of
    schedule; also achieved Open Enrollment and benefits certification of 4,000 plus employees,
    which resulted in a 0% error rate in the benefits certification process and entry of benefits
    information.
   Created an effective project plan and outline on how to approach an accreditation project,
    according to required timelines, hours and staff needed to complete the project, information
    gathering, communication with the accrediting body and peer review team, facilitating and
    leading the project team, etc., which resulted in the company successfully acquiring two major
    accreditations within a 6 – 12 month timeframe.

Risa Hill Page 2  Researched skill trainings for key positions within the company, including SQL, technical training, and various others, which resulted in identifying those crucial skills needed to ensure the employees’ success and increase retention within my company.  Developed an auditing system for addressing unemployment insurance claim payouts, which resulted in being able to efficiently identify those that would require re-coupment and repayment to the company/employer via their UI account.  Researched the company’s Workers’ Compensation Accidents and Incidents Reports logs to identify high incidences of reporting factors and data, which resulted in identifying more efficient, and adequate safety training, measures, and practices to help minimize these incidences and risks.  Developed staff trainings via PowerPoint that focused on Employment Law mandates in the areas of Harassment Prevention, FMLA- Preventing Fraud and Abuse, and various others for managers, supervisors, and HR staff, which resulted in increasing awareness in these important areas to reduce risks and liability towards the company.  Achieved assigned projects with a project team for the company’s Oracle System Upgrade from 11i to R12 and completed an audit and analysis of benefit reportable data, which resulted in a savings of 300 plus man hours weekly for the company.  Created various personnel process involving Employee Handbooks, Policy and Procedures Manuals, processes on handling workers’ compensation claims, employee/personnel data- tracking spreadsheets, and many others, which resulted in adding value by streamlining personnel functions and processes while developing a more structured process within the company.  Achieved a 401K Open Enrollment process of 100 plus employees in a 4-day span and ahead of schedule; also achieved Open Enrollment and benefits certification of 4,000 plus employees, which resulted in a 0% error rate in the benefits certification process and entry of benefits information.  Created an effective project plan and outline on how to approach an accreditation project, according to required timelines, hours and staff needed to complete the project, information gathering, communication with the accrediting body and peer review team, facilitating and leading the project team, etc., which resulted in the company successfully acquiring two major accreditations within a 6 – 12 month timeframe.
