The document discusses the entrepreneurial resources available in Northeast Florida to support startups and small businesses. It outlines that the region is ranked highly for small business friendliness and has many organizations like the SBDC at UNF, over 25 groups providing support services, thousands of companies able to support growing businesses, and coworking/incubator spaces. To improve the ecosystem, it suggests entrepreneurs with startup experience and local success stories could help, as could innovative solutions from resource providers and collective regional recognition.

entrepreneurs in search of opportunities to pursue. The
challenge facing them is not just finding something, but finding
the right thing. Some are actively searching; others aren't

Using the Edward Lowe Model for Economic Gardening we have identified 5 stages of business. Stages 0 through 4. The Entrepreneurial Growth Division is designed to support the earlier stages while the JAX USA Partnership supports the larger firms. Each stage makes an economic contribution to our region through jobs, sales, expansion, and the number of establishments. Using some of our members I have provided examples of participants at each stage. Some highlights include 91% of establishments are early stage as well as our stage 2 business leading all categories in employment and sales.
