Evaluate Students Music Videos
J Cole: No Ro Models
- Very good camera angles, using a
drone for the birds eye view
over the neibourhood, good
movement with the camera to
make the video more exciting
and intriguing.
- Speed ramping is used very
effectively to go with the beat
of the music and suits the genre
of music
- The Mes En scene for this music
video is good as there are a
various amount of outfits that
suit the genre and artist.
- Editing within the video is very
good, especially when he
projects himself onto the
billboards.

- Long and dull beginning to the video with
a unclear narrative, however the video
takes a different turn when the music
drops and the colours become vibrant and
the shots become more thought-out and
planed.
- Not consistent with the frames creates a
lack of fluidity.
- Good narrative and use of location to
create a unique and aesthetically pleasing
video.
- Effective use of point of view shots to
create the feel that you are there with
the character.
- Good loop/ transition back to the
beginning of the video.

- Good knowledge of
artist as there is a clear
pattern in the digipak
trying to promote the
artist and album.
- Good information on the
digipak showing the
track list and other
information that you can
read.
- Clear colour pattern and
consistent editing.
- The digipak is still simplistic and hasn’t got strong images
that are bold and stand out
- The edit5ing is rushed and not challenging, just distorting
the colours which doesn’t go with the rest of the images.
