2. These are my character
concepts. My game is a very
mysterious game so when
designing my characters I
have to make them look like
an evil yet mysterious hero.
I decided to put a hood on
my characters because the
mystery is strongly shown.
Also by their identity being
hidden these two
characters have a sense of
danger and power to them
which makes the feel of the
game more exciting and
intense.The first character is a character ready for combat. The
hood connotes mystery and fight and the flames on his
jumper show that he is very dangerous and intimidating.
The second sketch is the character in a cloak with half his
face showing. As my game is full of gloom and mystery
the character has a full length cloak which shows
underestimation. Yet he is full of combat and is feared.
3. These are my environment concepts. In my
environment concepts I was thinking of
sketching something that will set a twilight
tone. This is because my game is a very
intense dark combat adventure so the
theme is set in a dark gloomy forest.
I chose the second one because my
concepts based in japan in the woods near
the hills. This is because my game is based
around a Japanese theme where it is dark
and gloomy yet you can see glimpse of the
city because it is set in the modern day.
4. These are the weapon concepts that I
have sketched for my game. The first
row of weapons are weapons you'll
see in fantasy games and exaggerated
games. I chose these because the
combat and battles visually will be
more exciting which will attract a
larger audience.
The sword on the bottom left is
more of a Japanese sword. I drew
this because my game is based
somewhere in japan deep in the
woods so this blends and relates
with my theme. This sets the
Japanese tone of the game.
The sword on the bottom middle
is more of a European sword, I
chose this because I wanted to
experiment with different types of
swords to see which one may
attract the audience most.
The sword on the bottom right is more of a middle
eastern sword. I chose this because it looks deadly
and there will be powerful combat in my game
which my attract an audience looking for exciting
combat.
