The original News Corporation or News Corp was an American multinational mass media corporation
headquartered in New York City. It was the world's fourth-largest media group in 2014 in terms of revenue.
One of the members there was a former Spanish prime minister Jose Maria Aznar. However the CEO/ owner
of the news co-operation is Rupert Murdoch.
News Corporation was a publicly traded company listed on the NASDAQ. Formerly incorporated in Adelaide,
South Australia, the company was re-incorporated under Delaware General Corporation Law after a majority
of shareholders.
3. National: BBC
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a British public service broadcaster. It is
headquartered at Broadcasting House in London, is the world's oldest national broadcasting
organisation, and is the largest broadcaster in the world by number of employees, with over
20,950 staff in total, of whom 16,672 are in public sector broadcasting.
Its work is funded principally by an annual television licence fee which is charged to all British
households, companies, and organisations using any type of equipment to receive or record
live television broadcasts. The fee is set by the British Government, agreed by Parliament.
