The public for some reason does not seem to realize that this occurring, which startles me. How can someone not tell that there is clearly biased in our media in order to better someone or something else? Many people are not aware at the fact that world’s food supply is decreasing and faster than we may think. Climate change is a huge reason for this issue, but other reasons that involve industry and pollution are affecting not only life on land, but also sea life. I find it odd that the media would not share a topic so important as this one, but I actually understand why they wouldn’t. If they were to share this with the public the public would be scared to death and the issue would be blown out of proportion so I believe some things are better kept a secret. are affecting themselves too because they live on Earth.
This point is one that has a lot of value. This quote incorporates
a source and a direct quote in order to emphasize the economic
problem in Iceland. I really like this quote because I thought it
was good use of a source and direct quote, which helped make
his writing stronger.
Just like the United States, it seemed that Iceland wanted a
democracy as their form of government. When is comes to
election time, this theory is treated very differently, which is
also similar to the United States. The concept of being equal
with each other is one that is of great value, but at the end of
the day the single voice of every person is not and will not be
heard by everyone, especially when the country is going through
big decisions. It may appear that everyone has the right to
participate in these decisions, but they don’t really.
I have never heard of Creative Commons until I read this
chapter, and I am glad I know about it now. I think that the
concept and foundation of this group is really unique,
interesting and different. Maybe one day the voices of all the
writers and all the real stories in Creative Commons will be
heard. I wonder if they will ever have as big of an influence on
society as the corporate media does?
