rustic and dirty giving the impression that the
game is based where all civilisation has been
broken.
The trailer uses suspenseful action music to give a very
dark theme to the game. The music builds up slowly
throughout the trailer gradually as the action increases. It
also uses sound-fx such as zombies and guns.

3. After some more scenes with the lone survivor it hen cuts
to an environmental scene showing a boat that has been
stranded on land, this gives off that that the game is based
on an island or near the coast .
The Trailer then shows some gameplay of DAYZ in first
person mode, with the player shooting at some zombies
with a gun. In the background you can see a watch tower
and barbed wire showing here may be some kind of
military base.
Overall I think this trailer is good because it shows a lot of the environment as well as gameplay.
This gives the trailer a heavy action theme with scenes of gunfights and bandit encounters. If
anything could be improved I believe that the company could of created a story from the trailer
rather then random gameplay.

4. This trailer opens a black screen with a voice talking over it,
this gives suspense into what this game is about. It uses
these black screens through the trailer to cut to scenes, this
gives a sense of memory flashes.
The next scene is of people running and
screaming down a suburban street, in the
background you can see a fire. This makes the
audience wonder what there running from and
why.
The trailer uses slow mysterious music through the trailer
to give a very dark theme to the game, It then uses dialog
from the game to create a story. This trailer is cinematic
and relies on sound a lot.

5. This scene the two main characters are standing on a roof
looking over a city, this tells the audience that the game
will most likely take part in the city for some period of
time.
This scene shows some bandits running
through the streets, you can see that the city is
overgrown with shrubs and trees, and a woman
hangs from the tree giving a very dark feel to
the game again.
This trailer works well because it uses the right amount of action as well suspense as well the sound
works well with the scenes there is a good mixture of dialog and music , As it used a cinematic trailer the
graphics look very good and overall is a very good trailer.

6. The opining scene shows a house, slightly worn down and
in the country side, this gives an insight Into the
environment .
The text in the trailer is very bold with an
animation of it falling apart like glass. The
background is dark and dirty giving a sense of
evil in the same.
The trailer has very low suspense music that builds up
again however has no dialog just sound-fx I think if
dialog was introduced this would improve the trailer.

7. The next scene focused on gameplay with a player running
from zombies down a suburban street. This gives a sense of
action and suspense.
It then shows a truck driving down a
abandoned street in the country side. This
informs players there will be cars, this gives
there impression the map is big enough to drive
around.
This trailer’s good and is heavily gameplay based. This allows people to see what the game will feel like
and if they want to buy it. However I think it lacked a storyline and the audio could have been improved
with dialog or music.

8. The trailer starts off with an environmental scene showing a
small town with the American flag, this shows that the
game is passed in apocalyptic America.
The audio is mainly dialogue based and
revolves around the main character
speaking. It also contains very quite
horror music to add to the dark effect.

The next couple of scenes are gameplay
of the player knocking back zombies in
quite dark scenes, in the background you
can see cars and buildings making you
think of the city.
Overall this trailer was ok as the
audio was strong and clear. however
the scenes they used could have been
improved such as better gameplay
and more environmental scenes
showing the outside.
