1. Hello Year 4! My name is Hamad, I am a pyramid worker living and working
in Cairo Egypt. I am sending you this message to set you a task ahead of my
visit this week. I would like you to write a diary entry as if you were here
doing my job, in order to this you need to know more about what I do,
right? During my visit, I will answer as many questions as you like about my
life and day to day job and this will then help you to write your diary entry.
But of course, you need to ensure your questions are worded correctly in
order to gain the most amount of information to make your diary entry the
best it can be! I have attached a ‘cheat sheet’ that may help you think of
some questions.

carefully at the difference between an
open-ended and a closed-ended
question. Discuss in tables how an
open question may be better than a
closed question?
Open-ended question – They don’t have one right answer and they
require more than a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ These types of questions usually
begin with how, what if or why
Closed –ended question - A closed question can be answered with
either 'yes' or 'no’. Answers usually do not give ample amounts of
information.

1. Daily routine of a pyramid worker
2. What their job entails, their responsibilities and daily tasks
3. You must describe the working conditions using well developed accounts through the eyes of the
pyramid worker. Maybe you could formulate an open-ended question to find out more about this.
4. You must include personal thoughts and feelings a pyramid worker may feel working in such
conditions. What sort of questions will you ask me to find this?
