2. INTERVIEW
I am interviewing my co-worker, she is 26 has has
just graduated from University, last week.
She is still an intern at the company we work
for, and soon they will make a new proposal.
Probably this week.
One thing that I think it is important to say is that in
Brazil, where we come from, we are not used to a
gap year, we finish high school, start university, and
often a post graduation course comes on the way.
3. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Newly graduates need to acquire more
experience during their University years,
because it will be easier for them to have a job
when they graduate.
4. SAY
• My resumé is very concise, I have only listed
the places I was an intern;
• I hope to learn a lot from my first job;
• When you get your diploma you don’t have
much experience, so it is difficult to get a
job, but if you do get a job, how are you
getting any experience?
5. DO
• Sign up my resumé on websites;
• Looked for jobs related to her area, but not
only to the field that she likes the most;
• Forwarded her resumé to friends, so they can
present it to the HR in the companies they
work for.
6. THINK
• It would be easier if we had more real life
experience during our university years;
• In university we learn a lot of theory, but don’t
practice it enough;
• The gap year is not common where I com
from, but I think it is a great way to mature.
• To keep studying is way to exchange
experiences, so we should never
stop, specially when we have a real job.
7. FEEL
• I expect my first job to find my first job soon, it
has been really frustating not getting many
responses, and the ones I get say I don’t have
enough experience;
• In my country internships are not always
treated as a way to teach students, some
employees mistake it for cheap labour.
