Main Image; The Main Image shows a

magazine, who is a woman she has a
dynamic pose, the magazine is a music
magazine of classical music so it is a
specialized magazine which is aimed at
both genders who are interested in
classical music. On the left hand side of
the magazine it shows the composers
name in a different font, this shows the
importance of this particular musician.
Below the name of the composer, it
says that she is the first lady of the
proms this shows how important this is
not only to the magazine but to classical
music as a whole, becoming the first
lady to compose at the proms which
was held in Royal Albert Hall..

obviously tells you this is a Music
Magazine, it says “Madonna
Rare” this is a selling technique
its trying to lure people to buy
this magazine, by suggesting its
rare for her to speak to a
magazine in depth about her life.
This Magazine is aimed at both
genders but primarily targeted
at women. Madonna is obviously a
high profile star so they put her
name on the right.

Flash; The singer Cher Lloyd is giving a
different pose more like a modelling
pose. This is very similar to the
previous magazine I looked at; Top Of
The Pops magazine is trying to
persuade the audience to buy this
magazine by saying that the main
image Cher Lloyd is revealing a lot in
this specific magazine, so buy it is a
selling technique.

Band Index; This Band index
shows that this is music magazine
specialises in music. The Band
index makes life a lot easier for
the consumers e.g. music fanatics
who have a favourite band they
can quickly go to the page, its
easier.

Subheading; The subheadings
make it easier for the customers
so they can see what is inside
this magazine, its easier as it
shows the content pages for
different features, in the
magazine and fashion.

very useful in a music
magazine it indicates the
pages where theses
specific articles are.

Font; The font type is
very elegant and it
really brings out the
headline more. „The
Joshua code‟, the
font is really what
makes the headline it
gives it a much
better look, it is really
eye catching to the
reader.

MCR TRACKS; This column is
similar to band index but
instead it suggests mcr
songs, and gives you the
content, this is very useful
for music fans as it makes it
easier to access the articles.
21. KERRANG (special edition,
IN DEPTH)
Headline; The title of the article is “BE
THERE, BE THERE NOW, BE IN IT” which
suggests the article is about an event
in an artists life and that you had to of
been there to understand the
memory. This title appeals to the
audience and content of the
magazine because the artist fits in with
the genre of the magazine and leaves
the audience in suspense because it
doesn‟t give much away about the
story in the article. The title is fairly big
and written in all capitals which makes
it eye catching and the first thing the
audience will see when looking at the
double page spread.
