1. What have you learnt about technologies and the use of technology?<br />Many types of equipment were used to make the thriller. The main one is obviously the camera; we used a cannon XM2 camera , this is a professional camera with very high quality . It has an inbuilt mic which makes it easier to record sound, however we had to re record the voice using a voice recording device , and we had to make it match the lip movement. The reason we used another recording device instead of the inbuilt mic is because we videoed scenes from many different angles, which means we couldn’t use the sound from the camera.<br />At the start of our thriller a lot of tracking shots was used, we done this using a dolly track, by using this I have learnt that it makes a big difference to the scene it gives a professional look and makes the scene look really smooth and stylish. <br />3686175269875<br />Another important equipment we used was a tripod this is essential for making a movie, it is used for high angle shots , panning and most importantly it stops the camera from shaking and gives it a smooth effect .<br />We faced few problems when making the thriller, one of the problems was when we went to shoot the scenes in central the battery died , and we only had 2 batteries, however we knew we would face such problem so we had the camera charger on us and charged it at a nearby shop, which led to wasting a lot of time.<br />The editing software we used was Final Cut Pro. It is one of the leading editing software which is used in lots of low budget movies.<br />I was familiar with the software so I found it quiet easy to use it and I learnt lots of new techniques to edit and make it look professional.<br />A screenshot of final cut pro while editing.<br />The editing software had a special technique to change the color of the scenes, I had to change the color of al the scenes to make it look more like a movie.<br />Another software we used was adobe after effect.<br />114300939800This software was used to make the title and I was really happy with the outcome as before using the software I wanted to make the title explode as it relates to the theme of the thriller ‘terrorism’ , after effect helped me make that exposing effect on the title.<br />
