Poem Analysis: A Streetcar Named Desire
Once there was a girl named Crash, she lived in a small town with her Aunt Blanche, and Uncle
Mike&ike. She, her aunt, and uncle had a goat named Beryl. One day they decided to take Beryl to
the park to see if he could make some nice goat friends. This day didn't end well for Beryl. The
family was walking to the park, and all of a sudden, a strange man in a white van swerved off and
swiggity swooty'd his way toward Beryl, and snatched him right out of his stroller. The man Jumped
back into his car, and drove too fast for them to see where in Tarnation he was going. So the family
had to go home that night, thinking of how this man could be torturing their amazing goat. Crash,
Blanche, and Mike&Ike were looking for Beryl everyday for three weeks ... Show more content on

He handed them a map, and some money for gas. "Go to all the points on this map, and write down
each letter for all the towns you drove through, keep the paper with the writing, and then come back
here and I will explain the next steps." Bobberina said, hurrying "There isn't much time.". So, the
family did exactly what they were told, they got into the white van, drove fast down the long bumpy
road, and headed for the first point on the map. This brought them to Yonkers, New York. So they
wrote down the letter Y, and continued. The next town was Oak Point, then Uniondale, then
Redford. They read the word "your". "This is going to take forever!" Crash said with no energy,
"Well isn't it worth it?" said Blanche "Don't you want Beryl back?". So Crash thought about it, and
really does want Beryl back in her life. The van ran out of gas, Mike&Ike was driving, so he pulled
into a gas station and filled her up. They went to the rest of the towns on the map, and finally came
upon the last town, Eastchester. The word's spelled out "Your goat is alive.", the three of them were
crying in relief and had hope that they will soon find their prized possession. So they drove back to
their hometown,

The Code Of Conduct : A Business For Personal Needs
Introduction Whenever you enter into a business, it can be for a wide range of reasons. Whether it's
a
business for personal needs (i.e. a supermarket, clothing store or even a salon) or financial needs
(bank can be used for a prime example), the businesses are aesthetically different, but the base is
all the same. Their core contain a code of ethics and conduct that causes the business to run
smoothly and efficiently. In this body of work, Cheesecake Factory will be the thoroughly
examined. The examination will contain information about the organization's Code of Conduct,
the importance that it has on the business as a whole, the key steps that employees should follow
and ways in which the restaurant can engage in socially ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is important because if the characters of the
employees are in order, the company will be successful and the customers will have an enjoyable
experience. Compliance with Laws are extremely important. It details that staff members and
supervisors are to follow state, federal and local laws, as well as regulations, rules and regulatory
orders at all times. The company also has a zero tolerance for harassment of any kind, drug and
alcohol abuse as well as diversity and non–discrimination. This is extremely important because it
goes hand and hand with the daily operations of the business. Anytime you have someone that
breaks the law, whether it is sexual harassment, or abuse of any kind, it can cause a negative
shadow to be cast on the organization as a whole and not on the individual. It can also become
a legal liability. Manager and Personal Accountability go hand and hand. The code of conduct
states that Supervisors should behave in a professional manner at all times, but it should also
include staff members as well. The reason why this is vital and key is due to being a
representation of the company when or when not on duty (on premises). Let's provide an
example, if John is the supervisor on duty and Jane and Susie are behaving in a childish and
unprofessional manner, John should pull Jane and Susie to the side (not in front of customers)
and address the issue at hand. When

Ready Player One Thesis
Released in 2011, Ready Player One is ann interesting read about a young man struggling with the
fictional state of the world in the year 2044. The world is starving for resources, and the remaining
resources are slowly dwindling. Jobs are scarce in the real world, and the land between cities is
barren and desolate. Travelling between cities is dangerous, because there are gangs and raiders that
attack helpless travelers. The world is a unfriendly and harsh place, and most tend to avoid it. The
majority of the human race in this novel spend their time in a virtual reality device, called the
OASIS. The OASIS is a virtual reality software that uses a helmet and gloves, called a visor and
haptic gloves, to interact with the environment within the generated worlds. There is a main server
that is divided into 27 sectors, similar to a Rubix Cube in shape, with sector 1 being the starting
zone when you first log in. Inside these sectors are a few hundred planets, which range from
recreations of locations, to completely fictional worlds. For the poor, an OASIS system is a godsend
because it allows the poor to escape their reality, and jump into another. For the ... Show more

My Favorite Trip
Florida is a state that is very special to me. I have always enjoyed my many visits, but one trip in
particular stands out as my favorite. Ever since I was ten years old, I have enjoyed SCUBA diving
with my family. We have done it many times, and it is one of my favorite hobbies. In the Summer of
2016, my father and I took an unforgettable trip centered around it. We drove down to Fort Myers
and got aboard a dive boat headed to the Dry Tortugas, a small island chain to the west of the Keys.
Not only did we enjoy the diving and spearfishing, but we had a great time on the journey down. We
began our journey by spending a night at my grandparents' house in Savannah, Georgia. Their house
has always been a constant in my life, seeming more familiar than some houses I have lived in
myself. I enjoyed visiting my family there as always, and it was great to start off the trip with such a
familiar location. The next day, we headed to Florida. We stopped by my Aunt and Uncle's house in
Ocala, and had dinner with them. It was good to see more of my family, and share a good meal with
them. That night, we drove from Ocala to Orlando, where we would spend the night. When it was
finally time to sleep, I was kept awake by my father's incredibly loud snoring in the other room. I
finally fell asleep around midnight, only to be woken up by an alarm at two in the morning. There
was much commotion in the hallway, as everyone was leaving the building by stairs. Many people
were scared, as the

My Perfect Vacation Home
As a family, every once in a while we need a vacation where we can get a great getaway from the
norm and hustles of life. A perfect vacation home in the florida keys makes the purpose for my
family and me. I can't think of a better place to spend my summer than in this perfectly weathered
place that glares at the face of the ocean. It's always a new experience every weekend we visit the
place no matter how often we do, it's always a perfect place for me.
Earlier on when I was a teenager, my parents had a holiday cabin in the mountains, a place far from
our house. However, it was a cool place to be, free from all the noise in the city and beautiful snow
mountains, for me a vacation mean not only means a cool place with convenience, but also a place
you can feel free and get to bond with the environment freely and adorably. When people hear of
vacation homes especially in such a place as in Florida, what comes to mind is that it's got to be
very expensive to get a home in such a place with all the high property prices and the interest rates
involved. However, coming to think of it again, the package that comes with such a house as
compared to the other options such as a rented home are just incomparable. There various notable
things that are made me love our vacation home and not think of other place nor other option. Like I
stated earlier, we previously had a vacation home in the mountains far from the place we lived but it
was not until we got a new vacation house in

What The Hell Did I Just Watch?
Like many of the other students in class, all I could think at the conclusion of the film was, "What
the hell did I just watch?" The film Mulholland Dr., directed by David Lynch, takes it's viewers
through a whirlwind of richly textured layers and intricate symbolism. Just as the subtext of the
story is difficult to understand, the context of this story at the surface is quite complicated. It's by
deciphering the symbols and metaphors within the film, that viewers can be able to understand the
driving forces of the film. The surface–level plot summary is of a woman named Diane Slewyn,
who is an aspiring Hollywood actress who falls in love with another aspiring actress named Camilla.
Her love for Camille spirals into humiliation and jealousy, which results in her decision to hire a hit
man to kill Camilla. The guilt from doing so, throws Diane into an extreme emotional breakdown.
It's the dream Diane has whilst experiencing the breakdown that we are thrown into throughout most
of the film. She dreams that she is Betty, a young actress, new to Hollywood and full of big dreams.
However, she meets Camilla (Rita), an eccentric woman, hiding in Betty's apartment after
experiencing memory loss from a recent car accident. They work together through most of the
dream, to find Rita's true identity. Diane's dream is filled with layers of other events happening
around Betty's adventures with Rita. When Diane awakes, the viewers are shown flashbacks of the
actual events that took place

Creative Writing : Opening The Crate '
I had some money left over and I was playing a game. I had a crate (something you open up with a
key, which costs money) and I wanted to open it. I bought a key and opened the crate. Within the
crate, there a various items with different price points. I managed to get something worth $20 (real
money),
"No way! Drew, Drew! I just got a 20XX!" I said in excitement.
"Really!? Oh my gosh! Let me see it!" Drew exclaimed.
"Dude! Let's go into a game with it and let's see how it looks on my car!" The chance to get that
item was around a 2.5% chance. I kept the item for around one week. I felt very lucky so I sold the
item. With the $20 I bought some items in another game.
I had 4 crates in the other game, and I also wanted to open them.

"Yeah." He said without and expression.
"It's worth more than $350!"
"Ok." He said, leaving my room. It took a while for my friends to wake up, and then I called them
on Discord (talking application).
"Hey Jon, you won't believe this," I said. "I unboxed a phase 2 Karambit Doppler..."
"What!? You have to be april fooling me right now. Let's party up with Hamlet and Ivan, and then
you can show us." Jon said in denial.
We went in the game and I showed them. They were astonished by it. Everyone I was playing with
was jealous and wanted it. I too, was fascinated by how I was to one to get it. Whenever I got crates,
I would sell them, mostly because I didn't need them since I never had keys. I kept the Karambit for
a while, but I wanted more items to play with, so I traded the one item from multiple items, and that
made me happier. After a couple days with the new items, I kept switching skins, and that's when I
realized I lost more than $150 when I traded them skins. I decided to do something risky that could
make me lose a lot of money, or possibly all of it, but I could also make a lot of profit. I traded the
items for multiple $10 items (around 20), and used a website that would give you a different chance
percentage depending on the price multiplier.

Essay On Asthma
Combating Asthma in an Underprivileged Community
Hospitalizations due to asthma is a major health issue for Hillsborough County, Florida and was
identified as being in the least favorable health category (Florida Department of Health, 2015).
Hillsborough County had a rate of 1,096.2 asthma hospitalizations per 100,000 people in 2015
which was higher than the rate for the state of Florida and the top United States performers (Florida
Department of Health, 2015). The purpose of this paper is to identify a community–based program

To more effectively utilize available time and resources, an area in Hillsborough County with the
densest population of the target demographic was selected. The neighborhood of East Tampa was
selected as the best site to initiate the AHRRP. There are approximately 16,000 residents residing in
East Tampa and, 84 percent of the residents are Black (Florida Center for Community Design and
Research, School of Architecture, University of South Florida, 2011).
There are many socioeconomic factors that impact the health status of Blacks living in East Tampa.
The per capita income for East Tampa is $11,786 which is less than half of the per capita income for
Hillsborough County (Florida Center for Community Design and Research et al., 2011). A
windshield survey of the community was conducted that assessed the community core, community
subsystems, and community perceptions using the guidelines outlined by Anderson and McFarlane
(2015). While conducting the survey, it was noted the much of the available housing was in

The Vanished Settlements Summary
In chapter 5, "The Vanished Settlements", John Viele reveals information about the 21–year span of
life on the Keys. The Civil War, living conditions, mosquitoes, fresh water, and isolation are some of
the main hardships that many of the settlers had to experience, but only a few could endure the
setbacks and live prosperous lives, as well as their families. Henry Geiger, Temple Pent, and Happy
Jack were the most prosperous men during the hard times of the Key West, and through others
around them, their stories can now live on. Viele tells us only a few families remained living in the
Keys after the Indian raids and the Second Seminole War. About 20 homes that were documented on
the 1850 census, which together, held about 40 settlers. The ... Show more content on

The author says he sleeps on a cot and had to use a stool to keep his legs form going through it. He
draws up a picture of Henry's home. The illustration shows that Henry was very luxurious. Henry
made his living through the hauling and selling of wood, tanning deer, and growing vegetables and
fruits, Viele says. Henry had managed the mosquitoes and lived a very successful life. Captain
Temple Pent, was self–educated, a skilled seaman, and pilot. Viele informs us, Pent was at sea at an
early age of his life. At the age 16 he began to tend to a piece of land, better known today as
Coconut Grove. After Florida was bought by the US, he became a citizen and had a family. Because
of his reputation at sea, Commodore Porter offered Pent to serve as a squadron official. Pent moved
his family to Key Vacas when the Seminole became violent, and eventually fled to Key West.
Records show that Pent was appointed Inspector of Elections in 1836 and held leadership in a 100–
population community. In 1860s, he was the Florida lighthouse keeper and lived there till his death
in 1868. Viele shows that Pent had a lot of political success.
Happy Jack had a plantation that grew "various fruits and excellent sweet potatoes", as a 1856
surveyor notes. Viele tells us that Happy Jack's story is very blurry and comes from two different
sources, one a writer whose article appeared in a Putnam's Monthly paper and the other is a friend.
Happy Jack was one of the members of a "happy–go–lucky" band.

Hurricane Andrew Essay
Hurricanes are notoriously capricious. Andrew was a compact system. A little larger system, or one
making landfall just a few nautical miles further to the north, would have been catastrophic for
heavily populated, highly commercialized and no less vulnerable areas to the north. That area
includes downtown Miami, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne and
Fort Lauderdale. Andrew also left the highly vulnerable New Orleans region relatively unscathed.
Andrew moved nearly due westward when over land and crossed the extreme southern portion of
the Florida peninsula in about four hours. Although the hurricane weakened about one category on

Rainfall totals in excess of seven inches were recorded in southeast Florida, Louisiana, and
Mississippi. Rainfall amounts near five inches occurred in several neighboring states. Hammond,
Louisiana reported the highest total, 11.92 inches. The number of deaths directly attributed to
Andrew is 26. The additional indirect loss of life brought the death toll to 65. A combination of good
hurricane preparedness and evacuation programs likely helped minimize the loss of life.
Nevertheless, the fact that no lives were lost in the United States due to storm surge is viewed as a
fortunate aberration.
Damage is estimated at $25 billion. Andrew's impact on southern Dade County,
Florida was extreme from the Kendall district southward through Homestead and Florida

101,241 others. The Dade County Grand Jury reported that ninety percent of all mobile homes in

Water Pollution: Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary
Water pollution is a leading culprit in the environmental problems facing the Florida Keys National
Marine Sanctuary. Poor water quality is blamed for declines in coral recruitment, fish kills, and
seagrass die–offs, among other ills. Pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, and hydrocarbons from
farms, suburban yards, and highways eventually end up in sanctuary waters, as does a huge infusion
of nutrients from wastewater and fertilizer. Commercial shipping operations release hazardous
materials and dump trash of all descriptions. Adding to the degradation are small daily doses of oil
from thousands of motor boats. Some of these problems will be addressed through a $10 billion,
20year federal commitment to "replumb" the Everglades. The restoration

Does Walmart Causes
"I'm going Walmartin', Walmartin', going Walmatin' today." This cute little ditty describes the place
Americans spend $36 million every hour, and a family of four spends $4000 of their "cold hard
cash" per year. Most Americans can speed to a Walmart within 15 minutes of where they live. Is this
not convenient (Weishar, 2013)? But what causes American shoppers to spend a portion of their
income to help support this American Icon located in Bentonville, Arkansas? The following causes
may explain American's fixation with Walmart. The first cause is a social one: Walmart is a
gathering place especially for the senior citizens. Many seniors citizens such as Wilma and Fred go

Gone are the local dry goods store which sold blue jeans and khaki pants for school or work. Some
local specialty shops may sell items like the Southern t–shirts or designer sweaters; some may sell
"designer–like" skirts or pants. However, the dry goods store finds it very difficult to compete; a
small town which may have had four clothiers no longer has one. Where does this leave Fred and
Wilma to shop? Their choice is to shop at a non–locally owned store. Hence, Fred and Wilma are
back at Walmart looking for a pair of jeans for Fred to wear while mowing the yard. (Wilma's love
affair with Walmart's deli help to increase Fred's waist!) Many local hardwares no longer sell
lawnmowers. The answer is clear: people would rather pay greatly discounted price at Walmart for a
Murray push mower. Saving nickels and dimes is important to most American consumers. Patio

Executive Summary
Earlier in this class I had put together a power point presentation to the Board of Directors of
Stone Goose Brewery. Stone Goose has been a very conservative company that had shower
consistent growth since it's inception in 2009. As the CIO of this company, it is my job to look for
opportunities to grow this company. An opportunity had come our way to be the sole supplier of
micro beer in Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, as well as get into 7 out of the top ten bars
surrounding the ball park. It's a great opportunity for a young company that would see tremendous
growth from this expansion alone. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Florida Keys Research Paper
The Florida Keys celebrates a diverse and colorful history that is full of adventurous tales of Native
American Indians, Spanish, pirates, hurricanes, and shipwrecks. Offering the only living coral
barrier reef in the U.S, this island archipelago lies along the Florida Strait stretching 200 miles from
Biscayrie Bay to the Dry Tortugas. Before Spaniard Ponce De Leon's expedition in 1573, the Florida
Keys was home to Native American Tribes, Calusa and Tequesta. The Spanish named these islands
Los Martires (the martyrs) and rightfully so, since many ships were wrecked on the reef during early
times. However, the name was once again changed by the Spanish to "Keys" from the Spanish word
"cayos" meaning "Small Island." Subsequently, the official name Florida Keys was adopted. ...

Key / Value Database Is A Type Of Nosql Database
1. Introduction
1.1 Executive Summary
Key/Value Database is a type of NoSQL Database. NoSQL Database stands for Not Only SQL
Database which means that the database can store heterogeneous data. The Key/Value database does
not follow the conventional relational database way of storing the data. Every piece of data that
needs to go into the DB, gets a key associated with it. Additionally, few other metadata also gets
attached to the data. It stores data as hash table where each key is unique and the value can be string,
array of strings, integer etc. Initially, data is stored in in–memory, but after particular time intervals
or depending upon some specified condition, data is moved to disk in the form of Shards. Shards are

 Name String
 Text description of the item
 Date–Time string recording the date and time the value was written to the database.
 A finite number (possibly zero) of child relationships with other values. Each element of the child
relationships collection is the key of another item in the database. Any item holding a key in this
collection is the parent of the element accessed by the key.
The data will consists of an instance object of the generic type. This might be a string, list,

Persuasive Essay On Winter Blues
When the cold weather comes around, it's easy for the winter blues to take effect. With snow on the
ground, ice on the windshield, and below freezing temperatures to battle with throughout the day,
most people just want to get getaway from it all – and for good reasons too. If you haven't felt it yet,
it might important to note that: the winter blues typically sets in right after the holidays, when it's
time to take down your Christmas decoration, get back to work, take care of kids, and prepare
yourself for the upcoming year. That's because the vast majority of people find that winter is an
extremely difficult time of year to gather the strength to feel joy and excitement about practically
anything. Fortunately, a visit to any of your favorite – warmer climate – destinations will have you
forgetting about the slush, ice, snow boots, and dark season in no time. So, if you find that you're
unmotivated, checked out, and heavy–hearted, try to fight these feelings by taking steps towards the
light – even in the darkest part of winter. That, of course, is easier said than done for some people. If
you and your family are in need of a winter vacation but if cost is a major factor, consider one of
these affordable – and super fun – destinations where your money will go a lot farther. Dallas, Texas
Some of you may have all heard that everything is bigger in Texas – and well, it is. Dallas isn't

Good news? Maybe.
I was born here in South Florida and grew up playing on the river. I had a boat before I had a
bicycle. My family was full of fishermen. It is no surprise as to who I am today. It was "in the cards"
as they say.
Throughout my whole life I have found my entertainment in the out of doors, primarily as an angler,
but not so finely focused on the fish that I did not notice the environment too. And anyone who has
paid the slightest attention to the quality of the environmental conditions in South Florida has
noticed that things just aint what they used to be. That is putting it mildly.
South Florida, the land of sunshine, was just a bunch of separated small towns when I was a child.
Now the east coast of Florida from Lake ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Growing up on the river, even as a child, it was apparent. But no one seemed to care as long as it
only affected those useless swamps out west.
But alas, in the last decade or so, the interconnectedness of all things began to show the truth.
Excess water during wet years, a threat to drowning the crops, has always been ejected through the
closest coastal rivers, both to the east and west. My father and I learned not to fish or camp along
the coasts during the rainy season back in the 1960s. Those coasts, lightly populated back then (and
very fishy) are now heavily populated.
During dry years, water was (and still is) kept in the lake to irrigate the fields, to the detriment of the
central wet plains that are the Everglades. Days of "raining" ash were common when I was a child
as the scorched 'glades burned deep into the muck. Again, too bad for the swamps, who cares? Well,
when the water doesn't seep through the swamps and drain into Florida Bay, that body of water
becomes abnormally salty. The folks who live in the Keys, which border Florida Bay, rely on
tourism and have been taking notice since diving and fishing are a main concern.
This year, during the recent Florida legislative session, a majority of those six million South Florida
residents convinced their representatives that they were tired of algae blooms in their back yards

Descriptive Vacation
It was April break and my family and I were heading down to Florida for the week. When our flight
landed in Miami it was late. We went to a place called the Wynwood Walls, this place is a few
blocks of street art that are just amazing. The coolest piece there was a big whale with a whole
society inside of it. It was late afternoon when we got back to the hotel for dinner. I got a fish
sandwich, it was great! After our dinner the sun was starting to set. My family and I walked out onto
the beach and the water was sparkling in the evening sun with a ocean breeze coming over the
ocean. Our hotel was great, the beds were extremely comfortable and we had a ocean view with the
beach right in front of us! The next day we all went to a place called Safari Park in the everglades.
We went on a private airboat tour and saw a lot of alligators. The coolest thing we saw there was a
family of otters. I really enjoyed when the driver did donuts in the everglades because we were
going really fast! After the tour we walked around the park and saw more alligators. The best part of
walking around was that I got to hold a baby alligator. When we were done with the your and the
park we started our two hour drive to Duck key florida. On our way we stopped in Key Largo to eat
Lunch. We went to a restaurant called Snook's Bayside Restaurant. I got the Mahi Mahi fish tacos
and they were absolutely the best fish tacos I have ever had. After lunch we continued our drive to
Duck Key. Finally the rest of the drive was over and we were pulling into Hawks Cay Resort. We
were all getting excited because they had practically everything to do there. The best part was there
salt water lagoon. We were walking into the front lobby, and when we opened the doors there was a
massive fish tank right in front of us. The employees were really nice. They took our car into valet,
then the receptionist helped us got our room, and showed us where everything was in and around the
resort on a map. We found our room and walked in. We were on the fourth floor and overlooking a
channel for boats to go through. We had a big balcony, and the room was big enough for all of us.
Ever since we got into Miami I was looking for iguanas.

beautiful blue color and there was nothing but colorful coral and crystal blue water everywhere.
When we got to where we were staying it was packed. There were more campers than we could

while my grandpa sang for an audience in the outdoor bar by the pool and hot tub. When i went to

Geographic Places: The Florida Keys
There are many special places scattered across America, such as the Grand Canyon, Kauai,

so extraordinary that they are more than geographic locations and much more than their physical
components. These extraordinary habitats feel as alive as if they had a pulse and heartbeat. The
Florida Keys is such a place. This skinny secession of islands is connected to the mainland and to
one another by forty–two bridges and the Overseas Highway, which is an engineering marvel–even

Marine Debris In The Florida Keys
Abstract:
Marine debris was collected and placed into categories at Long Key State Park in the Florida Keys.
Data was taken on Thursday, March 26th, 2015. The total number of debris collected totaled at 835
items. The most common type of marine debris collected during this experiment was assorted
plastics totaling at 513 pieces (61.43%). Many of the debris collected where small and
unidentifiable.
Introduction:
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) define marine debris as "any
persistent solid material that is manufactured or processed and directly or indirectly, intentionally or
unintentionally, disposed of or abandoned into the marine environment" (NOAA, 2015). Marine
debris is classified into two categories: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For millennia, terrestrial plant matter, seeds, and driftwood have travelled across the open oceans
with the help of surface currents. Even floating islands, also known as tussocks, floatons, or sudds
are common in many Florida lakes and across the world (Mallison, C.T., 2001). These islands have
been known to carry exotic plants and vertebrate animals. Floating islands promote trans–ocean
dispersal of marine and terrestrial organisms. This increases biodiversity and helps new barren
islands thrive. However, in the last five decades, with the growing number of plastics in the marine
environment, the dispersal and occurrence of these organisms has increased exceedingly (Gregory,
R.M., 2009). This paves the way for invasions by alien and even aggressive invasive species to
establish themselves in new ecosystems beyond their native range. A survey done in 2009 reported
that over 150 marine species have established themselves due to marine debris stranded on the
shores of northern New Zealand. Most of these organisms were identified as crustaceans. Four of
those organisms discovered are featured in figure 3. Specimen A shows various crustaceans on
unknown plastic, specimen B depicts warm water Indo–Pacific oysters growing on nylon rope,

August 19th and 20th, 2016. The original location on the island of Islamorada in the Florida Keys

Location: 3200 St Lucie Blvd, Fort Pierce, FL 34946
Known For: Islamorada Beer Company is known for their easy drinking fun in the sun beers.
Whether it's a day on the water, a day at the beach, or a day doing yard work their beers are

Current Beer Menu: On the day of my visit, Islamorada had six of their own beers on tap and the
guest tap was Guava IPA from Sailfish Brewing Co. In the future, there will be more beer offered on
tap but for now they have only just started brewing on their new system. A lot of what they are
pouring is still coming from the brewery down south, which uses a two–barrel system. The first of
the six beers I tried was Sandbar Sunday, which is an American Wheat built to be your everyday

Short Story On Thomas Ham
Thomas Ham looked out the rainy window. The cars and trucks passed by. He saw the gray

call up to his mom, "Hi, mom"
"Hey, you can come up. The key is under the rug," his mom said. He walked through the
passageway. He came upon a courtyard with some old tables and chairs. He walked into his

My Wife And My First Child
In December of 2008, my wife and I found out we would be having our fourth child. We were living
in Sugarloaf Key, FL while I worked in Key West, FL. Due to some unforeseen circumstances with
our land lord, we terminated our lease in Sugarloaf early, rather than trying to find a place for the
remaining six months we would be there. We moved the family back home to North Carolina over
the Christmas break from school. I still had six months or so remaining before I transferred to my
new job in Tybee Island, GA. The military had moved us before, being a military family moving
was a bitter sweet occurrence. The family adjusted well and settled right in. Having family close by
to help ease this transition helped out greatly. The fourth addition to our family was developing on
schedule, regular doctor visits, and checkups. We decided that he would be born in NC since my
wife was comfortable with the doctor she was already seeing. The estimated delivery date also
worked with my work schedule and being home for the birth.
When I was finished in Key West, I had a few weeks off before I started my new assignment in GA.
During these few weeks I rejoined my family in NC and took my wife house hunting in GA. We
found a great development just going up with a new K–8 school, which was going to be finished for
the start of the next school year, just outside the gate of the development. With our expected due

Florida Keys Mosquito Control Case Study
The Florida Keys is facing a crisis in the growth of deadly mosquito populations who pose a threat
to its Tourists and residents. The species Aedes aegypti is an invasive species in the Florida Keys
that carries Dengue Fever and Chikungunya and spreads these diseases to humans by biting them
(Oxitec, "United States"). Dengue fever and Chikungunya are potentially fatal, viral ailments that
have no present day treatment apart from treating patient's symptoms (Oxitec, "United States").
According to the Florida Keys Mosquito Control Division (FKMCD), they present efforts for
fighting off these mosquitoes is using insecticides; achieving a 50% eradication rate("Oxitec
OX513A Trial"). Oxitec believes that it has come up with a solution to combat the growth of Aedes
aegypti populations using genetically engineered sterile male Aedes aegypti to sire offspring that
will not survive into adulthood(Oxitec, "United States"). In response to this, many of the Key's
residents are protesting against the releasing of genetically altered mosquitoes as they feel ... Show

During these meetings, the FKMCD shows the cost effectiveness of Oxitec's method compared to
the present methods used in the Keys, that Oxitec's methods would decrease the use of pesticides in

as much positive information that the FKMCD presents for Oxitec, they make little provision for
debate. As a result, it could be suggested that the FKMCD are treating this plan as if it were already
passed, leaving the public without a voice. Larry Kahn documents protests against the initiation of
trials for Oxitec's plan for this very reason ("flkeysnews.com). To the public, the FKMCD and

too. Key West has also been the home to many great authors and artists and is known for having a

Then after the war, the industries success decreased, but the immigration of Cubans to Key West
increased. The cigar industry soon grew to phenomenal heights and the island became a refuge for
Cuban revolutionaries (Gifford 9).
The more successful Key West was the more populated it became and soon the city we now know as
Miami spun off of Key West. In 1871, the arrival of the Cuban San
Carlos Institute and Opera House made Key West a rich and diverse city. The island did suffer from
a fire that destroyed fifty acres of downtown property in 1886, but by then there was a steamship
service and that made reconstruction of the city quick and easy (4).
Soon the good luck of Key West was about to run out. A hurricane arrived and was so destructive
that it forced the cigar industry to the Tampa area. Then, their second main industry, that was the
sponge beds, was destroyed by a blight. The only (5) thing they had left was the tourist industry and
the Florida land boom collapsed in the
1920's, so the only tourists they had were people passing through to Cuba. During The
Great Depression the island's problems escalated. In 1934, the people were considering abandoning
the island because up to 80% of the population was on relief. Then a major setback occurred. The
biggest hurricane to hit Key West happened on Labor Day 1935.

The Death Of Oasis By Wade Watts Essay
Wade Watts, is an 80 's fanatic, living in Oklahoma in the mid–21st century in a world that is
experiencing famine, a repressing government, and a failing global economy. Like many people
during this time, he spent most of his time on OASIS, a free virtual world where people can explore,
work, play, and even attend school; like Wade.
Resulting in the death of Oasis creator James Halliday, there was a contest created in which a person
must find 3 keys. Each key opens a gate, the final gate will give the person millions of dollars as
wells as a large portion of OASIS's stake. After five years and thousands of people searching Wade
finds a Cooper key in a tomb, on Ludus, this is where he meets Art3mis, who gets the key a few
hours later. Wade then gets through the first gate and becomes famous overnight. Art3mis also
passes the gate hours after Wade. Earlier the next day, Aech gets the key and passes through the

My Wife And My First Child Essay
In December of 2008, my wife and I found out we would be having our fourth child. We were living
in Sugarloaf Key, FL while I worked in Key West, FL. Due to some unforeseen circumstances with
our landlord, we terminated our lease in Sugarloaf early, rather than finding a place for the
remaining six months we would be there. We moved the family back home to North Carolina over
the Christmas break from school. I still had six months or so remaining before I transferred to my
new job in Tybee Island, GA. The military had moved us before, being a military family moving
was a bitter–sweet occurrence.
When I finished in Key West, I had a few weeks off before I started my new assignment in GA.
During these few weeks I rejoined my family in NC and took my wife house hunting in GA. We
found a great development just going up with a new K–8 school, which would be finished at the
start of the next school year, just outside the gate of the development. We decided to have a house
built and the time frame for completion fit in just right at the end of July. The idea of having

The American Crocodile Essay
The American Crocodile
(Crocodylus acutus)
Crocodylus acutus, or more commonly referred to as the American crocodile, is the second most
widely distributed of the New World crocodiles, ranging from the southern tip of Florida, both the
Atlantic and Pacific Coasts of Southern Mexico, as well as the Caribbean islands of Cuba, Jamaica,
and Hispaniola¡¨ (1 Species). These areas provide the perfect climate for these endangered species
that have roamed the earth for over 200 million years. Florida is known for its large population of
American alligators, which are often confused for the rare American crocodile. However, there are
vast differences between the two species. Hunted for their hides and the changing of their habitat to

This Family is further divided into three subfamilies: Alligatorinae (alligators), Gavialinae (gharial),
and Crocodylinae (crocodiles).
Very often the American alligator (Alligatorinae mississippiensis) is confused for an American
crocodile, even though these two species are of the same family they are different in many ways.
The alligator has a much broader snout and the crocodile a much narrower snout– ¡§¡Knarrower
snouts usually indicating fish eating–species¡¨ (42). Another characteristic seen in the American
crocodile and not the alligator is the front two teeth that penetrate the upper jaw from below as they
grow (2 List). These teeth are one of the major differences between crocodiles and alligators.
A not so recognizable difference between the American crocodile and alligator is the crocodile¡¦s
ability to regulate saltwater balance in their body. Crocodiles maintain salt concentrations in their
body fluid at the typical level of other vertebrates, which is about one–third that of seawater (52).
¡§The osmoregulatory problems posed by life in fresh or saline waters are related to the amounts of
water and salts exchanged across various body surfaces. Loss of salts and water occurs in feces and
urine, through respiration, excretion from salt glands in the tongue, and through the skin. The ability
of the American crocodile to tolerate salt water is related to their low rate of water loss, low rate of
sodium uptake, the ability to excrete excess

  • 7. My Favorite Trip Florida is a state that is very special to me. I have always enjoyed my many visits, but one trip in particular stands out as my favorite. Ever since I was ten years old, I have enjoyed SCUBA diving with my family. We have done it many times, and it is one of my favorite hobbies. In the Summer of 2016, my father and I took an unforgettable trip centered around it. We drove down to Fort Myers and got aboard a dive boat headed to the Dry Tortugas, a small island chain to the west of the Keys. Not only did we enjoy the diving and spearfishing, but we had a great time on the journey down. We began our journey by spending a night at my grandparents' house in Savannah, Georgia. Their house has always been a constant in my life, seeming more familiar than some houses I have lived in myself. I enjoyed visiting my family there as always, and it was great to start off the trip with such a familiar location. The next day, we headed to Florida. We stopped by my Aunt and Uncle's house in Ocala, and had dinner with them. It was good to see more of my family, and share a good meal with them. That night, we drove from Ocala to Orlando, where we would spend the night. When it was finally time to sleep, I was kept awake by my father's incredibly loud snoring in the other room. I finally fell asleep around midnight, only to be woken up by an alarm at two in the morning. There was much commotion in the hallway, as everyone was leaving the building by stairs. • 8. My Perfect Vacation Home As a family, every once in a while we need a vacation where we can get a great getaway from the norm and hustles of life. A perfect vacation home in the florida keys makes the purpose for my family and me. I can't think of a better place to spend my summer than in this perfectly weathered place that glares at the face of the ocean. It's always a new experience every weekend we visit the place no matter how often we do, it's always a perfect place for me. Earlier on when I was a teenager, my parents had a holiday cabin in the mountains, a place far from our house. However, it was a cool place to be, free from all the noise in the city and beautiful snow mountains, for me a vacation mean not only means a cool place with convenience, but also a place you can feel free and get to bond with the environment freely and adorably. When people hear of vacation homes especially in such a place as in Florida, what comes to mind is that it's got to be very expensive to get a home in such a place with all the high property prices and the interest rates involved. However, coming to think of it again, the package that comes with such a house as compared to the other options such as a rented home are just incomparable. There various notable things that are made me love our vacation home and not think of other place nor other option. The film Mulholland Dr., directed by David Lynch, takes it's viewers through a whirlwind of richly textured layers and intricate symbolism. Just as the subtext of the story is difficult to understand, the context of this story at the surface is quite complicated. It's by deciphering the symbols and metaphors within the film, that viewers can be able to understand the driving forces of the film. The surface–level plot summary is of a woman named Diane Slewyn, who is an aspiring Hollywood actress who falls in love with another aspiring actress named Camilla. Her love for Camille spirals into humiliation and jealousy, which results in her decision to hire a hit man to kill Camilla. The guilt from doing so, throws Diane into an extreme emotional breakdown. It's the dream Diane has whilst experiencing the breakdown that we are thrown into throughout most of the film. She dreams that she is Betty, a young actress, new to Hollywood and full of big dreams. However, she meets Camilla (Rita), an eccentric woman, hiding in Betty's apartment after experiencing memory loss from a recent car accident. They work together through most of the dream, to find Rita's true identity. Diane's dream is filled with layers of other events happening around Betty's adventures with Rita. The Civil War, living conditions, mosquitoes, fresh water, and isolation are some of the main hardships that many of the settlers had to experience, but only a few could endure the setbacks and live prosperous lives, as well as their families. Henry Geiger, Temple Pent, and Happy Jack were the most prosperous men during the hard times of the Key West, and through others around them, their stories can now live on. Captain Temple Pent, was self–educated, a skilled seaman, and pilot. Viele informs us, Pent was at sea at an early age of his life. At the age 16 he began to tend to a piece of land, better known today as Coconut Grove. After Florida was bought by the US, he became a citizen and had a family. Because of his reputation at sea, Commodore Porter offered Pent to serve as a squadron official. Pent moved his family to Key Vacas when the Seminole became violent, and eventually fled to Key West. Records show that Pent was appointed Inspector of Elections in 1836 and held leadership in a 100– population community. In 1860s, he was the Florida lighthouse keeper and lived there till his death in 1868. Viele shows that Pent had a lot of political success. Happy Jack had a plantation that grew "various fruits and excellent sweet potatoes", as a 1856 surveyor notes. Viele tells us that Happy Jack's story is very blurry and comes from two different sources, one a writer whose article appeared in a Putnam's Monthly paper and the other is a friend. • 27. Persuasive Essay On Winter Blues When the cold weather comes around, it's easy for the winter blues to take effect. With snow on the ground, ice on the windshield, and below freezing temperatures to battle with throughout the day, most people just want to get getaway from it all – and for good reasons too. If you haven't felt it yet, it might important to note that: the winter blues typically sets in right after the holidays, when it's time to take down your Christmas decoration, get back to work, take care of kids, and prepare yourself for the upcoming year. That's because the vast majority of people find that winter is an extremely difficult time of year to gather the strength to feel joy and excitement about practically anything. Fortunately, a visit to any of your favorite – warmer climate – destinations will have you forgetting about the slush, ice, snow boots, and dark season in no time. So, if you find that you're unmotivated, checked out, and heavy–hearted, try to fight these feelings by taking steps towards the light – even in the darkest part of winter. That, of course, is easier said than done for some people. If you and your family are in need of a winter vacation but if cost is a major factor, consider one of these affordable – and super fun – destinations where your money will go a lot farther. Dallas, Texas Some of you may have all heard that everything is bigger in Texas – and well, it is. Dallas isn't home to just the Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, and Stars, it's also home to some of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Essay Good news? Maybe. I was born here in South Florida and grew up playing on the river. I had a boat before I had a bicycle. My family was full of fishermen. It is no surprise as to who I am today. It was "in the cards" as they say. Throughout my whole life I have found my entertainment in the out of doors, primarily as an angler, but not so finely focused on the fish that I did not notice the environment too. And anyone who has paid the slightest attention to the quality of the environmental conditions in South Florida has noticed that things just aint what they used to be. That is putting it mildly. South Florida, the land of sunshine, was just a bunch of separated small towns when I was a child. Now the east coast of Florida from Lake ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Growing up on the river, even as a child, it was apparent. But no one seemed to care as long as it only affected those useless swamps out west. But alas, in the last decade or so, the interconnectedness of all things began to show the truth. Excess water during wet years, a threat to drowning the crops, has always been ejected through the closest coastal rivers, both to the east and west. My father and I learned not to fish or camp along the coasts during the rainy season back in the 1960s. Those coasts, lightly populated back then (and very fishy) are now heavily populated. During dry years, water was (and still is) kept in the lake to irrigate the fields, to the detriment of the central wet plains that are the Everglades. Days of "raining" ash were common when I was a child as the scorched 'glades burned deep into the muck. Again, too bad for the swamps, who cares? Well, when the water doesn't seep through the swamps and drain into Florida Bay, that body of water becomes abnormally salty. The folks who live in the Keys, which border Florida Bay, rely on tourism and have been taking notice since diving and fishing are a main concern. This year, during the recent Florida legislative session, a majority of those six million South Florida residents convinced their representatives that they were tired of algae blooms in their back yards ... • 29. Descriptive Vacation It was April break and my family and I were heading down to Florida for the week. When our flight landed in Miami it was late. We went to a place called the Wynwood Walls, this place is a few blocks of street art that are just amazing. The coolest piece there was a big whale with a whole society inside of it. It was late afternoon when we got back to the hotel for dinner. I got a fish sandwich, it was great! After our dinner the sun was starting to set. My family and I walked out onto the beach and the water was sparkling in the evening sun with a ocean breeze coming over the ocean. Our hotel was great, the beds were extremely comfortable and we had a ocean view with the beach right in front of us! The next day we all went to a place called Safari Park in the everglades. We went on a private airboat tour and saw a lot of alligators. The coolest thing we saw there was a family of otters. I really enjoyed when the driver did donuts in the everglades because we were going really fast! After the tour we walked around the park and saw more alligators. The best part of walking around was that I got to hold a baby alligator. When we were done with the your and the park we started our two hour drive to Duck key florida. On our way we stopped in Key Largo to eat Lunch. We went to a restaurant called Snook's Bayside Restaurant. I got the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and they were absolutely the best fish tacos I have ever had. After lunch we continued our drive to Duck Key. Finally the rest of the drive was over and we were pulling into Hawks Cay Resort. We were all getting excited because they had practically everything to do there. The best part was there salt water lagoon. We were walking into the front lobby, and when we opened the doors there was a massive fish tank right in front of us. The employees were really nice. They took our car into valet, then the receptionist helped us got our room, and showed us where everything was in and around the resort on a map. We found our room and walked in. We were on the fourth floor and overlooking a channel for boats to go through. We had a big balcony, and the room was big enough for all of us. Ever since we got into Miami I was looking for iguanas. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

On our way we stopped at the Creation Museum down in Kentucky and we stayed at my grandpa's house in Maranatha Village down in Sebring Florida. When we finally got down to the Keys i couldn't believe how beautiful it was. The water was that beautiful blue color and there was nothing but colorful coral and crystal blue water everywhere. When we got to where we were staying it was packed. There were more campers than we could count. The campground was on it's own little island on the highway. I probably can't name half of them. Suffice it to say we are blessed with many national treasures. These extraordinary habitats feel as alive as if they had a pulse and heartbeat. The Florida Keys is such a place. The total number of debris collected totaled at 835 items. The most common type of marine debris collected during this experiment was assorted plastics totaling at 513 pieces (61.43%). Many of the debris collected where small and unidentifiable. For millennia, terrestrial plant matter, seeds, and driftwood have travelled across the open oceans with the help of surface currents. Even floating islands, also known as tussocks, floatons, or sudds are common in many Florida lakes and across the world (Mallison, C.T., 2001). These islands have been known to carry exotic plants and vertebrate animals. Floating islands promote trans–ocean dispersal of marine and terrestrial organisms. This increases biodiversity and helps new barren islands thrive. However, in the last five decades, with the growing number of plastics in the marine environment, the dispersal and occurrence of these organisms has increased exceedingly (Gregory, R.M., 2009). This paves the way for invasions by alien and even aggressive invasive species to establish themselves in new ecosystems beyond their native range. A survey done in 2009 reported that over 150 marine species have established themselves due to marine debris stranded on the shores of northern New Zealand. Most of these organisms were identified as crustaceans. Four of those organisms discovered are featured in figure 3. Specimen A shows various crustaceans on unknown plastic, specimen B depicts warm water Indo–Pacific oysters growing on nylon rope, specimen C depicts crustaceans growing on a plastic pellet, and specimen D depicts a bryozoan colony attached ... The beers at the Islamorada Beer Company are so sessionable that they attract mainstream beer drinkers into the craft beer fold. Current Beer Menu: On the day of my visit, Islamorada had six of their own beers on tap and the guest tap was Guava IPA from Sailfish Brewing Co. In the future, there will be more beer offered on tap but for now they have only just started brewing on their new system. A lot of what they are pouring is still coming from the brewery down south, which uses a two–barrel system. The first of the six beers I tried was Sandbar Sunday, which is an American Wheat built to be your everyday beer. No frills needed here. Just a refreshing beer for a hot day. • 37. Florida Keys Mosquito Control Case Study The Florida Keys is facing a crisis in the growth of deadly mosquito populations who pose a threat to its Tourists and residents. The species Aedes aegypti is an invasive species in the Florida Keys that carries Dengue Fever and Chikungunya and spreads these diseases to humans by biting them (Oxitec, "United States"). Dengue fever and Chikungunya are potentially fatal, viral ailments that have no present day treatment apart from treating patient's symptoms (Oxitec, "United States"). According to the Florida Keys Mosquito Control Division (FKMCD), they present efforts for fighting off these mosquitoes is using insecticides; achieving a 50% eradication rate("Oxitec OX513A Trial"). Oxitec believes that it has come up with a solution to combat the growth of Aedes aegypti populations using genetically engineered sterile male Aedes aegypti to sire offspring that will not survive into adulthood(Oxitec, "United States"). With as much positive information that the FKMCD presents for Oxitec, they make little provision for debate. In 1871, the arrival of the Cuban San Carlos Institute and Opera House made Key West a rich and diverse city. The island did suffer from a fire that destroyed fifty acres of downtown property in 1886, but by then there was a steamship service and that made reconstruction of the city quick and easy (4). Soon the good luck of Key West was about to run out. A hurricane arrived and was so destructive that it forced the cigar industry to the Tampa area.
