Bald eagles mainly eat fish and salmon but will also eat dead animals or small animals when their preferred food is unavailable. They have white feathers on their head and tail with a brown body, grow up to 100cm long, and have a bright yellow beak. Bald eagles live near lakes, rivers, oceans, and nests in North America, building nests high in trees and laying 1-3 eggs at a time over 35 days. As one of the top predators, bald eagles have few predators themselves and can live up to 30 years.
