The Sturgeon by Marcus
1.
2. Sturgeons have lots of rows of bony plates. The sturgeons are
toothless. The MOUTH has strong thick sucking lips. Sturgeons
have only have one dorsal fin.
3. They eat shellfish, worms, crab, snails and
small bony fish. The sturgeon will suck up
anything on the river floor. STURGEONS
also eat small insects that fall in the water.
4. Sturgeons live in the Fraser river they also live near new
York. They live in salt water rivers. They also live in Alaska
bay and coastal waters and northern Baja. They also live in
the Russian waters. THEY ALSO LIVE IN CHINESE waters
and are rare to find because of overfishing there.
5. The sturgeons lay eggs somewhere in the
water. Young sturgeons start eating with
eating small MARINE LIFE . But when they get
older they eat larger stuff. Baby sturgeon
are smaller than ten inches long.
6. They dive deep under water to hide and it
is really rare to find one because they are
endangered and there are few sturgeons
left. That is why it is really rare to find
them. Sturgeons make their skin really
hard to hold because they make a type of
slime so they can slip away from being
caught and killed.
7. People fish the sturgeon and sell them on the black market and
people are overfishing them. Larger fish eat baby sturgeons and
we are poaching them too much and they get killed BY FISH that
get in a gang and kill them.
8. Stop hunting sturgeons and don’t pollute the water and stop
OVER FISHING THEM and feeding them bad stuff to eat.
People need to stop eating the fins of the sturgeons or there will
be no more sturgeons.
9. Most of the sturgeons live in salt water.
SOME STURGEONS weigh 1000
pounds. The largest sturgeon was10ft
long. Sturgeons have lived on earth for
208 million years . They have lived on
earth even before the dinosaurs walked
on the earth.
10. I am 8 years old and I like animals
that live under water. I like to
dive under water to see under
water animals. I can swim with
fish and turtles and see a lot of
coral also called little coral reefs.
The last thing I will say is that I
don’t want to be stung by a jelly
fish under water.
