This unit focused on assessing the systems of language using an integrative and communicative approach. Students were asked to select two online performance-based assessment tools to evaluate two of three language systems and describe how they work. This assignment helped relate language system assessment to using ICTs like websites. As future teachers, it is important to stay updated on new technologies, as current students are comfortable with technology. ICTs can boost second language learning, so teachers should make learning more engaging for students using these tools.
