  2. 2. We use past progressive:<br />To talk about what somebody was doing at a certain time in the past.<br />Example: Thefarmerwasworking at 6 o’clockyesterday.<br />
  3. 3. Yesterday, I was eating at two o’clock.<br />Yesterday, I was playing at three o’clock.<br />
  4. 4. Yesterday, I was watching TV in the night. <br />
  5. 5. The past progressive puts emphasis on an action in the past.<br />The policeman was running after the dog yesterday.<br />
  6. 6. Thehairdresserwas working in theafternoon.<br />
