1. ICTS BASED PEDAGOGICAL PORPOSAL

1. DESCRIPTION.
This current proposal is designed around the use of ICTs as a tool of
encouraging and empowering of the ESL learning. The main idea of the project
is to encourage students to get interested in using technology as a tool to learn
English. The tools used in this project will be the blog, the Wiki spaces and the
video material found in YouTube. Thus, this project will mix the interesting
subjects and areas of the students and the implementation of these
technologies within the classroom.
Besides, this project intends to reinforce the new strategies of education. This
project will help to understand the new dynamic of education in terms of
information interaction and the new ways of learning brought by the digital age.
Nowadays, it is well known that there are lots of ways to get to the knowledge
without using a pencil but a click.
2. OBJECTIVES.
The objectives that will be described below include the ICTs and the ESL
learning process being mixed into a general objective.
General Objective: To create an information and communicative
technology (ICT) tool that enables students from 701 at Prado Veraniego
public school to enhance and empower their skills within the EFL
process.
Specific Objectives:
To measure the starting exposure of students from 701 class at PV
school to multimedia tools.
2. To create a sort of virtual environment to enhance their use of ICTs
instruments and by doing this catch their attention towards the EFL.
To make follow up activities in order to check their use of the tool
previously created.
To get students to post different material made by themselves in which
they will use their English skills such videos, report-papers, etc.
To compile the features done so far by the students in order to make an
on-line presentation of the final product at the end of the project.
To state how important it is to let students work on virtual environments
where they can reach high self-esteem and confidence during the EFL
process.
3. PEDAGOGCAL PROPOSAL.
The methodology intends to use the most useful components from the theories
in chapter 2 such the correct uses of ICT and the “Communicative Approach”.
This schedule of activities were put together in order to achieve the theory,
hence, its main steps towards the achievement of the goals within the ESL
process such participation, autonomy, communication, etc. The main tool used
for this project are the ICTs, the Blog and the different sources such videos,
songs and worksheets that call students’ attention to the activities and the
English learning.

4. JUSTIFICATION.
When doing a research project such this, one must think about the way it takes
the students to a level of excitement and curiosity. It is well known that the
context in which children live nowadays is plenty of technologies and tools
which provides them with useful and meaningful sources and material for their
processes at EFL. 701 students at Prado Veraniego are highly exposed to
those technologies; this eases the process to the teacher and helps to
encourage them in the use of English as a way of communication.
As a conclusion, this project will continue the goals already achieved during
previous researches and will state the importance of using the ICTs in order to
improve EFL.
5. EXPECTED RESULTS.
After posing the research project I intend to get students motivated towards the
ESL learning and the correct use of ICTs. It will encourage them to search and
find information on what they can do and how it could improve their own skills,
how they can communicate and how they can participate with those
technologies.
