The market breadth on the BSE closed in positive. Advancing and declining stocks were 1031 and 640 respectively,
while 99 scrips remained unmoved.
The S&P BSE Sensex ended at 20122.32, up 39.70 points or 0.20%. The 30 share index touched a high and a low of
20146.83 and 20055.18 respectively. 19 stocks advanced against 11 declining ones on the benchmark index.
The CNX Nifty gained 12.50 points or 0.21% to settle at 6107.25. The index touched high and low of 6114.55 and
6084.15 respectively. 35 stocks advanced against 15 declining ones on the index.
S&P BSE Sensex CNX Nifty
The S&P BSE Mid-cap index moved up to 6539.54 and gained 0.31% while S&P BSE Small-cap index jumped up by
0.33% to 6186.46.
The broader S&P BSE 500 index increased to 7601.18 (up 0.28%) and CNX 500 index rose to 4779.75 (up 0.22%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX lost 0.12% at 16.84 from its previous close of 16.86 on Friday.

On the BSE Sectorial front, Healthcare (up 1.55%), Metals (up 0.56%) and Consumer Durables (up 0.44%) were the
top gainers.
Information Technology (down 0.26%), Power (down 0.04%) and Real Estate (down 0.02%) were the top losers.

Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd (up 3.39%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (up 1.87%), Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd
(up 1.30%), Coal India Ltd (up 1.28%) and Cipla Ltd (up 1.18%) were the top gainers on the Sensex.
NTPC Ltd (down 0.64%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 0.46%), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 0.36%),
Infosys Ltd (down 0.36%) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (down 0.30%) were the top losers on
the Sensex.
