1. Choppy markets end flat; Nifty sustains 6100 levels
Market Summary

Following a positive opening, Indian markets soon dived amid weak global cues. Choppy markets traded in red zone
through most of the day today before ending flat ahead of F&O expiry. Nifty managed to close marginally above 6100.
On sectorial front, Realty sector was the laggard, down 2.50% on BSE.
Globally, European Indices plunged in negative terrain whereas US and Asian markets traded on a mixed note.
Back home, Rupee has weakened further against US dollar to touch a 10 months low at the level of 56.243. The RBI
reference rate made a low of 56.08 in August 2012.
Ranbaxy Laboratories dipped 2.79% on BSE as reportedly doctors are advised not to use the drugs of company and
another report said that the Indian Medical Association (IMA) asked the Drug Controller General of India to investigate
the quality of drugs that it produced and sold in India.
Wockhardt locked in lower circuit of 10% at Rs 1121.80 on BSE over growth concerns in FY14.
AstraZeneca Pharma India rallied 19.54% on BSE on getting robust response offer for sale. The company has set a
discounted price of Rs 490 for OFS.
Key Quarterly Results
Sun Pharmaceutical rallied 7.09% on BSE to touch fresh 52 week high at Rs 1079.90 after reporting growth of 23% in
Q4 Net on YoY basis. The stock was the star performer on both Sensex and Nifty.
Tata Communications closed 0.64% up on BSE after the company's Net spurted 606% to Rs 269.55 crore in Q4.

State owned, NHPC dived 3.25% on BSE as the Net profit of the company fell by 15.28% to Rs 2348.22 crore.
Jain Irrigation Systems gained 1.63% on BSE despite its Net declined 75.80% to Rs 41.90 crore.
Pidilite Industries jumped 1.20% on BSE after registering a rise of 39.69% in its net profit at Rs 99.17 crore. (News)
Godrej Industries jumped 2.34% on BSE despite of posting 52% decline in net profit to Rs 96.74 crore in March
Quarter.
T he market breadth on the BSE closed in negative. Advancing and declining stocks were 1053 and 1371
respectively, while 144 scrips remained unmoved.
The S&P BSE Sensex ended at 20147.64, down 13.18 points or 0.07%. The 30 share index touched a high and a
low of 20216.49 and 20044.74 respectively. 12 stocks advanced against 17 declining ones on the benchmark index.
The CNX Nifty lost 6.95 points or 0.11% to settle at 6104.30. The index touched high and low of 6125.05 and 6069.80
respectively. 18 stocks advanced against 32 declining ones on the index.
S&P BSE Sensex CNX Nifty
The S&P BSE Mid-cap index moved down to 6473.28 and lost 0.39% while S&P BSE Small-cap index hammered
down by 0.16% to 6058.72.
The broader S&P BSE 500 index decreased to 7571.19 (down 0.26%) and CNX 500 index declined to 4766.65 (down
0.22%).
The volatility as denoted by INDIA VIX gained 4.32% at 17.86 from its previous close of 17.12 on Tuesday.

On the BSE Sectorial front, Healthcare (up 1.82%), Consumer Durables (up 0.82%) and FMCG (up 0.58%) were the
top gainers.

2. Real Estate (down 2.50%), Metals (down 1.13%) and Banks (down 0.82%) were the top losers.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (up 7.09%), Tata Motors Ltd (up 2.69%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd (up 2.39%), Coal India
Ltd (up 1.30%) and Cipla Ltd (up 1.26%) were the top gainers on the Sensex.
Sterlite Industries (India) Ltd (down 2.53%), Tata Steel Ltd (down 2.27%), Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (down 1.98%),
GAIL (India) Ltd (down 1.50%) and ICICI Bank (down 1.38%) were the top losers on the Sensex.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (34.78 points), ICICI Bank (-23.41 points), Housing Development Finance
Corporation Ltd (-18.99 points), Tata Motors Ltd (16.65 points) and ITC Ltd (15.47 points) were the major Sensex
drivers today.
On the other end Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (8.64 points), ICICI Bank (-5.90 points), ITC Ltd (4.40 points), Tata
Motors Ltd (4.22 points) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (-4.06 points) were the major Nifty movers
today.
Pivot, Supports and Resistance Levels
CNX Nifty is now pivoted at 6100 for next session. The next support is at 6074 and on upside it has a resistance at
6130 levels.
