3. PATIENT HISTORY
• 41 years old Malay Lady alleged fall on Friday
3/9/2021 during walking, missed steps and fell in left
foot in inverted position. the next day, patient
notice swelling over left ankle and went to Hospital
Putrajaya.
• AP & Lateral ankle projection were taken TRO
closed fracture of left lateral malleolus.
5. TECHNIQUE
• Projection : AP & LATERAL ANKEL
• AP ANKEL : Place patient in the supine position; place pillow under patient’s head;
legs should be fully extended.
• LATERAL ANKEL : Place patient in the lateral recumbent position, affected side
down; provide a pillow for patient’s head; flex knee of affected limb about 45°;
place opposite leg behind injured limb to prevent over-rotation.
• Kv : 55 kv
• mAs : 2.8 mAs
• SID : 100cm
• Centering point : ankle joint for AP, Lateral malleolus for Lateral projection
• collimation : superiorly to include 1/3 of tib/fib, lateral to the skin margin
• orientation : vertical
• detector : 14x17 inch
• instruction to patient : no movement
7. PATIENT HISTORY
• 47 years old Chinese Lady h/o resistant
Schizophrenia with panic attacks.
• Referred to medical team since May ECT cycle
because patient desaturated during prior ECT. pt
will usually have episode of desaturation 2-3 days
after ECT, home oximeter showing SPo2 down to
89%
• Chest X-Ray was taken TRO lung pathology.

• Projection : PA ERECT
• Kv : 110 kv
• mAs : 4 mAs
• SID : 180cm
• Detector : 14x17 inch
• Centering point : midsagittal plane at level of T7
• collimation : superiorly5 cm above the shoulder joint to allow
proper visualization of the upper airways, lateral to the skin
margin, inferior to the inferior border of the 12th rib
• orientation : Horizontal
• instruction to patient : Suspended Inspiration
11. PATIENT HISTORY
• 14 years old Malay girl c/o sudden abdominal pain
since yesterday at right iliac fossa a/w fever and
vomiting.
• X-Ray AP Abdomen was taken indication of acute
appendicitis.

• Projection : AP SUPINE
• the patient is supine, lying on her back.
• Kv : 90 kv
• mAs : 30 mAs
• SID : 100cm
• Detector : 14x17 inch
• Centering point : the midsagittal place at the level of the iliac crest
• collimation : superiorly to the diaphragm, lateral to the skin margin,
inferior to include symphysis pubis
• orientation : Verticle
• instruction to patient : Suspended Inspiration
