which they must spend part of their allowance. Students
can earn extra play money through classroom jobs, and
must draw a weekly "wild card" an unexpected expense,
such as needing to buy a new bicycle tire, or windfall, such
as a belated birthday check from a relative. Teacher and
students at the end of week, determine how much money
is left and whether to save it or spend it on one of their
needs or wants and do a list of their expenses. Then
students talk about their decisions and the importance of
setting aside a bit of savings no matter what. Finally
students do a reflection about the activity and what they
learnt with the activity.

3. • Activity:
• Teacher incentive students write. Students have to get
to “own” their responsibilities in the school and at
home. Students have to create and decorate journals
in which they write about their week's responsibilities
and how they handled problems that came up. Every
few days, Teacher reviews a handful of journals and
writes suggestions and encouraging comments. At the
end of the week, Students take their journals home to
share with their parents. If parents would sent a
