Through the process of creating a film opening, the author learned how to effectively use technology like cameras, tripods, and video editing software. Research was conducted online using resources like IMDB to find similar films and information on directors, YouTube to analyze different opening clips, and Art of the Title to examine the layout of different title sequences. The author also learned how to use Prezzi, a website for making presentations, which was a new skill developed during this project.

2. CREATING THE FILM
 Whilst creating our media film opening, it was important
that we knew how to use the equipment effectively, for example
cameras, tripods and videos. Overall, the journey of producing
updates on my blog, filming, editing and research and planning
has given me the ability to develop new and improved skills, in
order for me to be able to effectively use Apple Products, for
example Final Cut Pro, Garage-Band, Live Type and Safari.

3. IMDB
 Digital technology is something I
found very useful in order to produce
my media product. The internet is
something that we did most of our
research on. We had access to IMDB
which allowed us to look for films that
were the same genre. IMDB gave me
the names of the directors and the
synopsis of films.

4. YOUTUBE
 We also used YouTube
to watch the opening
clips of films, to analyse
aspects of different
openings and pick out
what gave us the most
inspiration

5. ART OF THE TITLE
 My partner and I also
used Art of the Title. This
website enables us to look
at the different ways in
which an opening can look
like, by showing us the
layout of each scene of the
opening.

6. PREZZI
 Prezzi is a website that
allowed me to make
different presentations
using different forms.
Prezzi was new to me, and
I had learnt how to use it
during my media lessons.
