How did you integrate technologies-software,
hardware and online- in this project?
Critical reflection question 4

2. Throughout creating my film opening I
have been using different types of
technology’s, softwares and online
platforms to plan, edit and adapt my film.

3. Blogger
Blogger Is a free online blog site.
This is where I stored and posted all my
research and planning for my film opening. Any
research I did I created a post for a put it up on
my blog. My posts mainly consist of important
camera knowlage, film research (eg film
opeings), genre characteristics and film
planning (storybords, shotlists).
Without having a place to store all this
information and planning I would not have been
able to complete my film to a good standard. It
was a very important contributor in my
organisation and preparation for filming.

4. ONLINE PLATFORMS
FREESOUND.ORG
dafont.com is an online website with an abundance
of different fonts that cannot be found on most
standard programs. I used this to get some
different font for my titles.
I wanted to get my fonts from this website because
I knew that it was unlikely that anyone would have
pick the same font as me and I wanted my tittles to
stand out.
It is a very useful website as it has a wide selection
of fonts and you can look through a lot of different
fonts to find the right one for you.
Dafont.com
freesound.org is a website will infinite
sounds that people have recorded and put
up on there which are free to use and
sample.
The website is a vey useful website for
anyone making a film as you can pick any
foley sound that you need and there Is a
high chance it will be on there.
I used freesound.org to get all of my foley
sounds and replace any sounds that could
not be heard clearly in the footage or didn’t
sound right.

5. PREMIER PR0
Premier pro is an editing software that you can edit film and
audio on. This is the software that I used to edit my film on.
This software enable you to create a professional standard film
with editing framing and audio.
You can also add effects through this software which enable
you to have a wide choice of what your film will look like such
as making it a film noir.
I used this software to put my film together, add sounds and
music, add titles and put it into a cinematic frame. With out
premier pro my film would have became very hard to make

6. N DESIGN
In Design is a design software in which you can create
designs from scratch. It is also made by Adobe so it has
a similar lay out to premier pro and photoshop there for
easy to work.
I used in Design to create my movie idents at the
begging of my film opening. I created idents to make my
film look more professional, you can only tell from the
film idents at the beginning of a film if the film is
independent or major distributor.

7. TECHNOLOGY
'S
Technology’s in the modern day act as a way of
speeding processes up or enables humans to
do thing that they would not be able to do with
out the equipment.
The Technology that I used in my film was
USB’s for transporting work form laptop to
desktop and moving footage about, SD cards to
record the footage onto and store it on and a Mic
to record sound when filming.
With out these technologies making my film
would have been a lot more challenging and
time consuming.

8. CAMERAS
Cameras are one of the main components when making a
film. Selection the correct camera and lens for your
specific shots is very important as your shot can have a
completely different feel if you use the wrong lens.
For my film I clearly needed a camera to film, I choose to
use a Canon 5D as it is a very trustworthy and relabel
camera adaptable to may different lenses. I chose to use
28mm and 50mm lenses as then I would have zoom and
slightly wide shots.

9. Through out my project I included
technologies, software, hardware and online
platforms to assist and aid my work. Without
these completing my project would not be
possible
