2. Style sheet
Even though this style sheet is meant to be
about colour exploration, fonts etc. I wanted
to use inspiration from some of my favourite
photographers.
Bryantâs photography specifically is mainly
focusing on âsocial media influencersâ and
recently he has been working more with
tiktok stars such as Charli Dâamelio and
Addison Rae Sterling. The way in which he
edits his photos are aesthetically pleasing
to myself but also how he focuses his
shots. Overall I am a fan of his style.
3. Style sheet â Different magazines
Here is a few examples of
magazine covers that I
find personally
aesthetically pleasing and
different in their own
ways. The Ariana Vogue
article has an interesting
colour palette with the
contrasting colours
however simultaneously
blends with the main
photo. The Elle article
has more of a vintage
approach however still
looks classic and stylish
in modern society.
4. Style sheet â Fonts
For fonts, I looked at both sans serif and serif fonts
to see how they would look together. When
researching different magazines, a common
feature that I found was that they typically used
more sans serif fonts as they appear to look more
mature. The type of audience that I am targeting
my magazine for can determine which style of
fonts I choose to use in editing
5. Style sheet â Colour Schemes
When looking into colour palettes, I tried to find different variations from
analogous, monochromatic, triad, complimentary, compound and shades to see
which colour would be the most fitting for my type of magazine. As my product
is all about fitting an aesthetic, the contrasting colour palettes seemed the most
appealing however an example from above (yellow-peach) also looks
aesthetically pleasing. This needs to be taken into consideration when taking
the photos as the text for the article and also elements used in photographs will
help make all the different features connect together.
6. Style sheet â Aesthetic photos
One of the biggest elements for my
magazine will be the photography.
Whether it is the image used on the
front cover or the tiniest image
included in a specific article, this
helps the visuals and can also allow
some interesting and unique layouts
to appeal to the chosen audience.
When looking at what is referred to
âaestheticâ photos I personally take
into consideration, angles, the
subjects posing and facial
expressions, framing and
composition and then the editing
from adding a filter to using
photoshop.
7. Front Cover Layout

With the layout of
my front cover, I
didnât want to
overcomplicate it
as I want the main
focus of the front
cover to be the
image itself and
not be filled with
tons of text.
The reason as to
why I donât want to
overly fill my front
cover with lots of
text is to keep a
minimalist
approach.
I need to
remember to
include key
elements such as
pricing, issue date,
barcode,
masthead etc.
8. Double Page Layout

9. Content
Content How You Could Get It

3 written articles Looking at similar articles for inspiration, get an idea of
an ideal structure. Interview of an Instagram influencer
talking about how they grew their following, why their
photos appeal to their audience
Outfit pictures Taking own pictures of outfits, try with good lighting
Scenery shots for the
âaestheticâ
Taking own pictures, location spotting
Shoe pictures Take multiple shots of shoes, make sure to have a
stand out background, easy to edit and manipulate
âOutfit of the dayâ Find some outfits that fit into the article, try different angles,
framing etc to make them all look different and unique
10. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Unable to get someone to be the
subject/model.
Have another person as a backup, if not try
to avoid using a person subject.
Canât find the lighting that will allow me
to edit the photos easily
Find the best times to take photos whether
it is more mid-day or âgolden hourâ
Electrical issues Try not to heavily rely on studio lighting, use
natural light.

and creative cloud also
corruption keeping backups stored, eject hard-drives
and electrical devices properly.
timing issues â resources arriving on
time, equipment
Make sure schedule is planned correctly,
leave enough time for things to arrive, book
equipment in advance.
11. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be avoided?

location spot to get an idea of which parts can be
a hazard, if all else fails use the studio in college
