• listening comprehension
-listen to track 4 and write down David’s and Claire Activities.
-In pairs, SS write sentences about Claire and David’s activities.
-SS individually answer the questions about Claire’s anecdote and then
compare their answers.
-SS work with the same partners to create a dialogue that they can
role-play, following the instructions on page 16.
3. TUESDAY 22nd
• Vocabulary builder
-Ss write down unit 1 vocabulary (page 14) and find synonyms.
-SS write a short, funny story using the vocabulary words and share it
with their groups. Groups vote on the silliest story, and the winner from
each group reads their work to the class.
4. WEDNESDAY 23rd
• Writing and speaking skills
-Students make a chart with information about a vacation they had in a
natural environment.
-SS work in pairs, asking and answering questions about their vacations
using the information from the chart.
-SS walk around the room to find someone who went to the same kind
of natural environment as they did. They should talk about the
similarities and differences in their vacations and record them in the
graphic organizer provided. SS report the information they recorded to
the class.
5. THURSDAY 24TH
• Reading comprehension
-SS take turns to read the on p. 19 and underline unfamiliar words
while they read and match the pictures of the caves to the correct
description.
-SS complete questions 1-4 and share their answers with a partner.
-SS to use the dictionary to look up 5 unfamiliar words that they have
underlined. They write the meaning in their notebooks and write
sentences.
6. FRIDAY 25TH
• Reading/Grammar: phrasal verbs
-SS read the text as a group on p. 20 and complete the multiple-choice
activity.

-SS find phrasal verbs in the text an create their own sentences using
them.
