Team Roles and responsibilities
Student 1 / The information collector: He is in charge of reading and collecting
information, visiting websites to obtain valuable information to include in your
project.
Student 2 / The summarizer: His responsibility is to synthesize ideas and put them
down on paper. He is also in charge of jotting down ideas on this booklet.
Student 3 / Team manager: He is in charge of sorting out time and resources. His
role is to organise the team, check that things are done on time and note down the
online resources used. He will monitor the team´s work by using a checklist.

Once you have selected the target culture, carry out an online research to find
information about it. Extract information from at least two sources. Websites such
as Wikipedia, Yahoo Answers or similar, will not be accepted as sources. Then,

7. VIDEO CAPSULE INSTRUCTIONS
Once you have collected the information you need, you will have to prepare a
video capsule of no more than 3 minutes, where you impersonate a child belonging
to the culture you picked. From his perspective, you will have to explain what is life
like for a person from that culture. Use props to enhance your performance.
You can use the following phrases to start your video:
• Hello everyone! I am __________________________ and I am a child
living in 19th century China...
• I am here today to tell you about my culture and how it is to live in these
times...
• Usually, when people want to get entertained, they go to the .....
• A normal day at school here is like ...
Make sure the three students of your group show up in the video and that you
speak a similar quantity of text (1 min each approximately). You can ask someone
to help you record the clip.
Record the clip from one iPad and save it. Later, your teacher will explain to you
how to share it with the rest of your class using the platfom PADLET.
