in the video looks vintage and
retro, this suggests that the video

Goodwin’s ‘Conventions of a
Music Video’ where he suggests

amplifying and illustrative
relationship to the music, as the
images shown suit the tone of the

of comfort, suggesting that she is

on the phone and the blowing on the
wind, and her facial expression is hidden
from the viewer. At 1 minuet 15 seconds

expressionless face with her eyes open,
this could suggest that she isn't hiding
anymore and will face her problems. Her
expressions in this are miserable.

dull in comparison to the shots of Adel
singing outdoors. Although these shots
are still dull due to the effect used
throughout the video they are still
brighter in comparison. This could
suggest to the audience that when she
