What do they look like?
The illustrations in this book look like they have been painted and on every page there is a different illustration with the
writing next the images. The illustrations are well painted and they really capture your eye and relate a lot to parts of
the story, by having lots of different illustrations it allows children to see something visual about the storyline.
What methods have been used to illustrate them?
For the illustrations in this book they were all painted and then would have been scanned onto a computer to add the
illustrations to the text. All of the illustrations were created by Vanessa Cabban.
What kind of fonts are used?
The font that is used in this book is very simple but on the font uses serifs which adds flicks onto the letters which helps
children read the words easier and also helps to follow the sentence more.
How much text is on the page?
There isn't much text on each page in this book because one pages is normally for an illustration and the page next to it is
where a few more illustrations go and then the text along side them. Next to the images there is only about 2-4
sentences of text so its easy for the child to follow the story.
How many pages are there?
This book has 32 pages but not all of them are for the story for example the very first page will be a title page for the book.
What size are the pages:
The page sizes in this book are 22.5 x 27.5 x 0.4 cm, which makes the book rectangular and instead of it being landscape its
portrait.

What do they look like?
The book looks very eye catching with the use of bright colours that have been using in the illustrations and by using
these bright colours it can make the book look fun to read for children. The illustrations in the book full both all
the pages with the text over the top.
What methods have been used to illustrate the book?
It looks like the illustrations in this book has been hand draw and then would have been scanned into a computer to
be put with the text.
What kind of fonts are used?
For the font in this book is very bold so it stand out from the illustrations and makes it easy for the children to read.
How much text is on the page?
On each page there is around 6-10 lines and some of the text is split of into paragraphs so it splits up sections of the
story so its not just one chunk of text which would be difficult for children to read.
How many pages are there?
In this book there are 32 pages so its not a really short book but not too long that it would take children a long time
to read.

The size of this book is 11.4 x 0.3 x 14.2 cm, so it isn't A4 and would be easy for adults to take with them anywhere
if they have there children with them.

In this book there are a lot of bright colours that have been used which make the book very eye catching and will draw
children into reading the book if it looks fun and colourful. There is around 4 lines of text on each page because this book is
based more on using illustrations to show the story which is good for younger children who are learning how to read.
What methods have been used to illustrate the book?
The illustrations in this book have all been hand drawn by Davis Mckee and even though the illustrations are very basic and
simple they have been coloured in using bright colours which makes the drawings stand out ore and look more exciting to
look at.
What kind of fonts are used?
The text that has been used is bold and simple so it makes it easy for the children to follow it and easily read it.

On average each page has around 4 lines of text because the book tells the story through illustrations more than text and
