2. High angle, dolly shot for 7 seconds revealing the empty toilet cubicles and then the end cubicle
which is the location that the girls are discussing the drugs. This dolly shot finishes on a 1 second
high angle shot of the two girls so that its establishes that they are holding some form of drug. From
this angle we can see the graffiti on the wall and the dirtiness of the toilet cubicle highlighting how
run down and disrespected the school grounds are treated by the students.
3. Close up one second shot of one of the female characters revealing her angry/frustrated
expression , which quickly pans to the other female character showing her expression in
response to what the other girl has just said, this uses the 180 rule as both female characters
are filmed from the same angle making it look like they are having a conversation. The shot
then cuts to a two shot so both the characters are in the scene, this last for 5 seconds as we
view the right girl smelling the weed whilst the other looks uncertain, this emphasises that the
right hand character is more confident to be around the drug substances than the left
character, even highlighting how the right character could be peer pressuring the left
character.
4. The shot then cuts to a close up of the girls face where it pan zooms back and forward for 5
seconds to the other female character, the use of this shot establishes that both characters
are having a conversation.
5. The shot cuts to a mid close up two shot of the two girls looking upwards with their shocked / angry
expression which reveals that there is someone above them so they have obviously just been caught.
This shot then cuts to a point of view low angle shot to reveal what the characters are staring out, this
shot also highlights that the character is looking over the toilet cubicle. The camera then shots and
reverse shots forward between these two shots as the girls begin to get aggressive towards the girl
who has just caught them out.
6. It then cuts to a group mid shot so all of the characters and background can be seen in
focus so that we are able to view that they are now having a argument as the two girls
are stood on one side and the other girl allowing us to the see the expression of the girl
standing alone. The use of the 180 rule alone. It then cuts to an over the shoulder shot so
we establish that the girls are having a conversation comes into play as the girls are shown
to be having an argument for 10 seconds.
7. The scene that cuts into another group mid shot which reveals that conversation is
still continuing, we are able to see one of the girls gripping the other girl which
demonstrates that the conversation is beginning to get aggressive. The scene cuts
back to an over the shoulder shot revealing the girls expression which demonstrates
that the girl must of said something rude or offensive as the girl looks very taken back
and ready to respond.
8. The scene cuts to a close up shallow focus of one of the female characters revealing her
angriness. It then cuts to a shallow focus head shot of the other character as she stares at
the other female looking disappointed. The clip continues to reverse shot back and forward
between the characters for 9 seconds as they continue to argue about the drug
substance.
