The opening sequence uses dark, dramatic sound effects that build suspense. The first shot shows waves crashing against rocks, setting the scene near water. Cinematography does not immediately show characters' faces, instead showing a character being pounded by water, creating tension. Lighting is used to make one character conversing in a room seem more mysterious and villainous. Shot structures like over-the-shoulder shots and dialogue keep the audience engaged in the story as it unfolds while also withholding full views of characters, building more suspense. A clock counting down seconds at the end leaves the audience as confused as the characters about what will happen next.

2. At the start of the sequence they use very dramatic,
dark sound effects. These effects suddenly get louder
and greater in depth, to the audience these creates
suspense and fear as the sounds jump out at you. The
first shot is of waves crashing against rocks. This sets
the scene in a way of the audience knowing that its
somewhere with water but not knowing what this place
looks like. It then brings in the first character.

With the use of cinematography and the camera angle
they don't show the characters face instantly, they
show the water pounding over him. To the audience
this is suspense and tension as the audience always
wants to know who the character is and what they are
doing. This happens again when the scene changes
from outside to inside and the shot of the room only
shows the back of the other character sitting down.

In this opening sequence the use of lighting is also used to create
tension and suspense. When both characters are in the room
conversing in dialogue the use of lighting over one side of the
character that is not eating shows that this character is more of a
villain and is evil and mysterious. The use of cinematography with
the over-the shoulder shows the character closet to us in shot but
the character behind is blurred out. This use of media language
makes the audience want to keep on watching the film and waiting
for the shot to zoom in or change its view so they are able to see
the other character.

5. 
The next scene shows characters wearing suits and using dialogue of no
evil manner. The camera shots of shot reverse shot and over-the shoulder
shot gets the audience right into the dialogue and makes the audience
listen to the story as this might show what the film is about in some detail.
After this and as a character is shown leaving the room, the suspense of
lights moving and characters wondering what is happening, one
characters looks at his watch.. the camera then goes into a shot of a clock
counting down in seconds, this can make the audience be on the edge of
there seats as they are confused to what is about to happen as they are in
the same position as the characters as they don't know what is
happening.

6. 
This opening sequence shows the audience suspense
and tension, it puts them on the edges of there seats
as they want to know what the film is about and want to
carry on listening to it.
