TALKING ABOUT YOUR WEEKEND – SAMPLES

My weekend was great. On Friday afternoon I went shopping with my mum and I bought two nice T-shirts and
a pair of trainers. On Saturday I went to see a film with my friends. We saw 'X-Men III' and then we went to
have dinner to Archie's pub. On Sunday I visited my grandparents and spent a good time with them. On
Sunday evening I watched TV at home with my family.

My weekend was quite boring. On Friday I stayed at home and I did nothing interesting. On Saturday I cleaned
up and did the washing up all day. On Sunday I met up with my friends but they had to study and they went
back home early. It was nothing special.

Last Saturday I went to Portugal with my family. The trip in the car was long. In about 3 hours we got there.
We went to the beach. We swam all afternoon. Then we played golf for two hours. At dinner time we ate fish
and chips. Later we went for a walk and we had an ice-cream. Finally we went to the hotel and we slept there.
Sunday morning we packed up for home. We had a nice day there.

I did a lot of things last weekend. On Saturday I played tennis with my friend, Laura. It was a good match. We
were tired and we went to have lunch to a restaurant. We enjoyed our lunch a lot. Then we went back home
because we had to study for our tests. Anyway, it was a wonderful weekend.

I had a nice weekend. On Saturday my family and I went to the Snowy Mountains to ski and the weather was
great. On Sunday we had a barbecue and then we went to a pop concert but the traffic was terrible and we
were late for the concert. After the concert we went to the hotel and all of us had a foot massage there. It was
so relaxing!
