1. My summer holiday
A holiday at home
The day when I came home from school, knowing that I had 10 weeks of freedom in
front of me, I felt so lucky. Not that I don´t like school, because I do, it just feels good
to relax and to know that I can do whatever I want to do. So when I got home in June
I had nothing special planned for a whole summer and that just felt great.
So what have I been doing? I have seen lots of movies during these weeks. One night
me and my friends rented three movies and had a “movie marathon”. We watched
“Coyote ugly”, “I rymden finns inga känslor” and “Puss”. I thought that “I rymden
finns inga känslor” was the best one. It was about a boy, Simon, who shared a flat
together with his older brother. Simon has Asperger´s syndrome, which means he
needs everything to be as it has always been. Simon doesn´t like changes and he got
problems showing his feelings and understanding other person´s feelings. Simon´s
brother had a girlfriend who left him and Simon decides that he is going to find a new
girlfriend to his brother.
My mum had her vacation in July and we went to the ocean in Varberg on the really
beautiful days. I like Varberg. I like to take a walk on the path that's just next to the
ocean. There they also has a place where you can bath if you are a woman and naked.
Me and my mum stayed there one of the days and for the first time I sunbathed naked
amongst other. At the beginning it felt strange but after a while I didn't think about it.
The worst thing this holiday was that we didn´t have internet for a week. Usually I sit
two-three hours every day in front of the computer. I play games, watch Youtube,
listen to music and so on. It felt strange not having internet because I am so used to it.
But my parents probably thought it was nice because they are always nagging about
me sitting in front of the computer all the time.
I guess a lot of people in Sweden are going somewhere during the summer holiday.
Some of my classmates are travelling to Spain, I know that Turkey is popular and I
have heard that more and more people are travelling to the Swedish mountains also
during the summer. But I think it was ok to stay at home this holiday. I mean, I scored
a lot more points than my cousin when we were bowling and won the family battle. A
summer holiday is all about not having too much planned!
