This document describes how the student's music magazine product uses and challenges real magazine conventions and forms. For my masthead I have used a bold sans serif font and
used white to highlight the first three letters of the mast
head. This makes it stand out and can be used as an
abbreviation.
My headlines are also bold and in the same font as my
masthead, sticking to similar themes with the first letters
white.
I have used a tagline ‘THE NATIONS FAVOURITE INDIE
MUSIC MAGAZINE’.
I have used two plugspuffs ‘Win festival tickets’ and
‘Festival survival guide tips.
I have used a variety of fonts to create my magazine, I have
used fonts that particular bands use making it noticeable
for the audience.
I have also used a barcode to make my magazine look real
and effective.
I’ve also used a date and issue number.

• I have used page numbers.
• A bold mast head the same font as used on the
front cover.
• A web address to provide the audience with more
information.
• I have also separated the ‘on the cover’ section and
‘features’, which I had seen done in other
magazines.
• I have also used the month and year to make the
magazine relevant.
