2. Class, Age, and Gender
• I asked 50% male and 50% female so that the information that I gain from the
questionnaire will help me to appeal to both male and females. Also, I asked
people from around the ages of 16, 17 and 18 which are the lower end of my
target audience as I believe that these individuals will be the people who propel
the magazine to where I wish it to be. After conducting my research I have
discovered that most of the individuals that I surveyed fall into the upper
working, and middle social class groups. I managed to gather this information by
asking, “What is the occupation of the chief income earner in your household?”

3. Room for a Music Magazine in the Market? Do you Buy
Music Magazines?
• More people than not believe that there is room in the market for another
music magazine, I believe that this is a good pretence to make a magazine on
as if it is good enough, people will want to purchase it. Although more people
said that they do not read magazines compared to people that do, I do believe
that if I produced a music magazine that was appealing to all then individuals
would buy it. Also, many people now access music magazines via the internet
which could demonstrate why people do not purchase music magazines any
longer.

4. Cost of Magazine
• After evaluating my research on the price of my magazine, I have decided that I am
going to charge £2.50 per issue for my magazine as most individuals are willing to
pay this much, and I want the maximum amount of individuals to purchase my
magazine on order to make it successful.

5. Favourite Genre, Bands and Music
• My research shows that out of the people I surveyed and wish to target my
magazine at, indie and alternative music is the most popular. Therefore I am going
to focus my magazine of these two genres as I also believe they will work well
together. As I cannot create a graph on all the different bands that have been
mentioned, I have made not of names of artists that have occurred on more than
10% of the questionnaires so that the music. I have decided to cover will appeal to
the most of the people that will read my magazine. . The most popular bands
where as followed: So I intend to include information on these artists in order to
be more appealing to the target audience.
