2. For my exhibition I chose to use macro and abstract
photos, for macro I got close up shots of insects,
flowers and others. And with abstract I was going to
take photos that looked upside-down but aren't.
But other random photos I took around school
turned out to be really nice as well so I used one of
them
3. The biggest place I got inspiration from was from
the internet, the upside-down photos were
something I found on it a while ago and I
remembered them and I thought they would be a
good idea. The macro photos of the insects and
flowers I got inspiration from national geographic.
4. To take my photos I used and 1100D and 600D
canon cameras. I also needed props for certain
photos, like the upside-down ones I needed some
sort of wall and props like a stool or a bin to make it
look upsidedown.
5. I edited all my photos, some drastically and some
only slightly
19. Overall I am very pleased with my photos. I think they all work well and are all clear
enough to see (not very blurry). I planned to have all these photos from the start
except the one of the two kids on the tennis court, this photo was just taken randomly
while we were out taking our pictures and I thought that it was interesting. I had
never really used a good camera like I did for this project and have learnt many things.
How to capture close up images with good detail (the bee photo), all the different
types of shots you take with the different settings on the camera and improved on
focusing the camera to get try and get the best possible definition on an image. If I did
this project again I would change a few things. I would spend more time trying to get
the best possible detail on each photo and I would decrease the intensity of light in
some of the photos like the bee one and the one with the kids because it is a bit
distracting

21. What did I do
well? I think the use of
camera angles was very
effective, particularly Jordan
and matt.
How could I
improve? I think
next time maybe play
with effects a bit more,
experiment etc.
Which is your favourite
photo and why? The
green eye because the
editing is brilliant.
Which is your least
favourite and why? My
least favourite was the
one of jordan on the
chair because he is too
near the bin.

Jordan ‘sitting’ on the

I would have
cropped the

losing the girl on
the right.
Which is your least
favourite and why?
The bee – would have
been great to see the
bee from the front
What did I do
well? Great variety
of images.

26. Overall my feedback was generally quite good. The
most favourite photo (not by much as the “votes” were
all very spread across each photo) was the photo of the
green eye. I was told that I need to make the theme I
using more clear as some people did not understand
that it was meant to be macro as well. People told me
they like my photos but I should have played around
with effects more and that I could have cropped the
photos more so the main part of the photo was the
focus of the whole image.
